But if I take them to some dinghy Thai place (outdoor) and let either or both whiskey and Thai beer flow, they are like we are dining at a Michelin star restaurant. But then I am sweating bullet in some uncomfortable seat that should have a time limit of 15 minutes before your butt starts to scream bloody murder.

I am a relatively newbie when it comes to BKK, and dont have much to add, but would like to request that I be upgraded to advanced member due to my participation levels in the Phuket forum. I feel I can benefit alot more by being able to read other people trips / points of view / hints etc for my planned next trip in June. Hopefully the moderators of this forum will allow this.

I will also post some pics to follow up this report when I get home from work tonight.. Bear in mind this was composed for the Phuket forum audience...




This trip was from Fri Nov 18 2011 through to Fri 2nd Dec 2011 (with the last 5 nights spent in Bangkok). My mate joined me for the time in Phuket, with us both flying out together to BKK, but me staying in BKK for the extra days solo.

Day 1 – Friday 18/11/11

Flights all went smoothly flying Thai from Melbourne to BKK, then BKK to HKT. That midnight flight is a bit of a killer, very hard to get sleep for me due to my height and not being that comfortable (even in emergency exit seats). Get into BKK approx 5-6am Thai time. Have a couple hours to kill before trsfr to HKT. Grab a coffee and relax for a while. BKK – HKT delayed slightly due to some passenger not turning up. Captain gets on the speaker and says they loaded up the passengers bags, but as he didn’t get on flight, they had to unload it all again. Delayed just under an hour I think in the end.

Get to HKT about 11:30am, look for driver with my name, but cannot find… Here we go I thought…great start to the trip. Hotel promises pickup, but driver did a no show. Walked up and down for 10-15 mins hoping he turns up, but nothing….. not happy. Ended up phoning Baipho/Saladee using a taxi drivers phone. Organised to get a taxi and have the hotel pay the fee when we arrive. All good.

Settled in at Saladee just after lunchtime. Funny how I got the same room as my last trip. Not sure if they did this deliberately. My mate two floors up from me. I had previously organized for this tour organizer to come and meet me at the hotel first thing to sort out what we wanted to do for our trip. Her name is Miss We. Her office is in the soi in OTOP market. I was referred to her by a friend (Dori on this forum) last trip and she was great. She met us and organized my go kart, shooting, quad bike, kickboxing, elephant ride and James Bond island. Paid her for all of it up front and didn’t have to worry for the rest of the trip. Everything organized……

We were pretty tired by that stage and decided to catch a few hours sleep then meet up at 4pm and get some shopping done for essentials – water, snacks and soft drink mixers. At 4 we ended up getting foot massage and did the shopping. I also got a Thai sim for my iphone from a telco shop next door to Christins massage. The pricing and data/calls etc seems pretty reasonable.

Started drinking in the room for an hour or so and then decided to hit the streets.
A girl at my work was also in phuket at the same time, with Friday being her last day and our first. We decided to meet up on Bangla for some drinks. She was staying with her husband in another town and had hardly been in Patong. Decided to meet up at U2 bar. This was an old favourite of mine from last trip and had BF a girl from there previously.

Got good seats out the front of U2bar and drank from there for a few hours before deciding to hit Suzy Wongs. I was busting to get to SW and had it in my head for months that I would BF a girl from there on my first night. We all went and I bumped into Dori immediately….. Had a quick chat with him before he was on his way out (approx 10:30-11pm??). Scenery was very good. 90% of the girls I would have been happy to go home with. My friends loved the place, especially the novelty of the *** smacking fun. So many girls with tattoos…… I noticed especially now on their stomachs??? Anyway all good, I like the odd tattoo, just dont like the girls totally covered in them.

Anyway my mate crashed after his first bourbon and decided it was time to go home. He was not really into mongering as much as me. So he left with our other work friend and her husband and I stayed on to get a girl. I sorted a cute one out at about 12:30ish and decided to call it a night with her. Kudos to her for being happy to walk to hotel and not moan about wanting a tuk-tuk. Seriously, its only a 10 min walk (not even) from Bangla to Saladee/Baipho. Had LT with her and night one complete.

One funny part on the walk home was that I bumped into my female workmate and her husband as they were coming back from dropping my friend off. They were about to look for a taxi to go home. Was a bit awkward at first bumping into them with my thai girl hand in hand…… we just had a laugh and kept going. We joke about it now at work as well… She is cool and knew what we would be getting up to. Haha

Day 2 Sat 19/11/11

Got up mid morning, went downstairs for breakfast. My Suzy Wong girl also came down. Ordered breaky for her but she hardly touched it. What is with them? I asked her if she wanted it, said yes, then hardly had anything… Oh well… anyway she left and I went to relax by the pool for a while and read my book. My mate woke up and came down. Debriefed him on the nights activities while he had his breaky.

We both were pretty seedy in the morning… didn’t feel like doing much. Headed down the road to look around and just wander. Stopped at Starbucks and had an iced coffee which helped immensely. My memory fades now, but we ended up going to Aussie bar in the early evening to hopefully watch some cricket and just hang and have some beers….. Dori again met up with us for a couple of beers. We were sitting in the lower section right on Bangla so we were pretty easy to spot as he walked by. We took it pretty easy and headed off to MTB at about 11pm to see what was going on.

MTB and the rest of the soi was pretty quiet. Nicke was not there so was unfortunate not to catch up with him. Had a few drinks and played some games of Jenga and connect 4 with the girls. Was not too interested in the girls there, and felt more tired than our first night. I think lack of sleep and alcohol on first night caught up with us. Had another 8 days in Patong so thought I would take it easy and pace myself. We left a few hours later alone and called it a night. Great sleep and refreshed the next day.

Day 3 Sun 20/11/11

Felt great today and refreshed. No jet lag or hangover and ready to do some stuff…. Haha. Time to get a massage and see if I can find a gem. The Bali Hai girls on the corner of our soi (opposite Christins) would not leave us alone. More physical then I had witnessed on my first trip. I was not going to go with any of them as we had to walk past my hotel each time and didn’t want that. I did all my hunting in the next three massage places along that road opposite Christins. On a side note one of the Bali Hai girls (was a lady boy, but calling her a girl for simplicity), come up with comment of the trip when we walked past… She said “Hello……Maaaasaaaaaage……. You fk me…I fk you……” we had to stop and laugh at that one…

Went for an oil massage and picked my girl – a very cute one but pretty small (they all are compared to me I suppose). Got an additional HE from her as well. I liked her and got her number to meet up with her after she finished at midnight. Funny thing was as we were finishing up (still in the massage cubicle), her friend was massaging someone and called out to her in thai. Apparently said she was with an Indian and he smelled (sorry to any Indian readers here, no offense meant, just restating what she told me)….. as we were laughing the other thai girl got carried away and started saying more loudly for us “I love you so much, you very handsome” etc etc…. we were pissing ourselves laughing, while the poor customer had no idea……

Anyway, my mate and I ended up at aussie bar again in the arvo to wacth some of the Oz soccer live on fox sports. Got talking to the owner of the Aussie bar and he was telling us the story of the Oz girl who got busted stealing the bar mat a few years ago. He was a good bloke.

We moved on to the Lucky 7 bar (next to the old tiger complex). Had a few drinks there till midnight. Were some cuties there and had fun watching the pole dancers… I spotted one I really liked and kept her in mind for another night.
At midnight went and picked up my massage girl and went back to hotel for boom boom.

Day 4 Mon 21/11/11

Got up relatively early this morning as we had activities planned. Massage girl went home about 8am. She lives just around the corner so was very convenient. Had breakfast and waited for our pickup.

Went on quad bike tour for 2 hours. Had an ace time. Went up the hills on dirt tracks and ended up going to the big bhudda as well… Then we went shooting and then go karting. Finished up back at hotel just after lunch. Spent the arvo by the pool again reading and had a few drinks.

The pool we use for Saladee / Baipho is the Montana pool. We get to share with them. Anyway all of a sudden I hear a “oooiiii” and there is my massage girl on one of the balconies overlooking the pool area. Damn. She is very close to where we are…. Maybe too close for comfort?? We had a laugh.

Went for a foot massage from my girl. Organised to go to Hollywood with her after she finished work. Had dinner and then with my mate to kickboxing. I love my kickboxing and enjoy also the MMA on tv in Oz. Have to say the Phuket kickboxing is pretty ordinary at best. More like exhibition stuff and they seem to get people from Oz, US, Europe who want to train for a few months and put them into the card. Anyway the last event was some aussie v a Thai guy. It was really embarrassing, both for the aussie and the crowd. The aussie was in his first official fight. He was about 22 years old. He was pretty skinny and was matched up against some fat teenage thai guy. It was a lose/lose situation for him. If he wins, he has beaten up on an overweight teenager. If he loses, he is beaten up by this kid.

Folks, if you want good kickboxing, phuket is not the place to see it. The stuff on TV from Melb, Syd, Bris on fox sports is 500% better.. I’m sure the good stuff is all in Bangkok. I knew it would be bad, but wanted to go anyway for a laugh. Probably will not go back any more.

Met up with massage girl and headed to Hollywood. My mate went back to hotel and chatted with the girls on reception. He didn’t come out with me. The first club I have been to where I have been screened and patted down. She lined up for her free drink and we found a table next to the dance floor. She had her friends come and meet up with us also. They were also both massage girls, one from the same place and another two doors down. Man were they smoking!!! Made me feel like being with them instead of the one I was with…. Anyway, spent a few hours there and went back to hotel for boom boom.

Day 5 Tue 22/11/11

After massage girl left, had breaky and waited for pickup to take us to elephant ride. Good to do for a once off and can now say I have done that.

Lazed by the pool today, also went and got teeth whitening done. Didn’t really need it but just did it for something to do. haha….. cant remember much else of the day. We went seafood dinner and had a few drinks, but didn’t get up to much. We had an early night as we were going to James Bond Island the next day and had to be up early. Day 5 Wed 23/11/11

Anyway, there was a misunderstanding between us in regards to LT/ST. I assumed LT, she ST. so she left a couple of hours after we started. But that’s ok. I notch it up as experience. Always confirm LT or ST. Had a good time with her anyway, but wont see her again as I am a LT man.

Day 6 Thur 24/11/11

Not much today. I think I had some kind of allergic reaction to the chlorine in the pool. My body come out with red spots everywhere.. Was not impressed……… I did not want to go outside…. I lazed about, went to cinema and watched “the Thing” with my mate……. Had a quiet one.

Day 7 Fri 25/11/11

Spots still on my body. Was really getting pissed about it now. Got a foot massage from my girl. Showed her the spots… She wanted to put aloe vera lotion on me and offered to see me that night and do it. Went to cinema again and watched Killer Elite, had dinner etc and went for a few drinks at the gogo bars… Diablo was not too good, a few ok girls, but mostly not. Day 8 Sat 26/11/11

My girl left. I organized to see her again for a massage today. My spots had started to clear up a little, so I knew it would only be a matter of a few days and would be back to normal. Kicked back with my mate today not doing much. Thought we would treat the reception girls to a drink that evening, so we bought a couple bottles of Absolut and mixers and set up camp in reception at Saladee and drank with them while surfing the net on our laptops and playing music etc…. Cant believe how cheap alcohol was from bottle shop. Approx $20 AUD for a bottle of Absolute that would cost $40 in Oz. We were laughing.

Earlier had got a foot massage from my girl. She asked with puppy dog eyes if she could see me again that night…….. (she knew it was my last night in Patong)…… I caved in and said ok, but told her we were going to Hollywood to party with the Baipho/Saladee girls as well….. She was fine with that and said I’d get her at midnight… Felt a bit guilty about not going back to see the cute sexy thing at Devils Playground, but will definitely search her out next trip.

We got pretty wasted on that vodka early Sat night. I love my Formula 1 and at 11pm had to go to Aussie bar with my mate and a couple others to watch the Brazil F1 qualifying. Watched that till midnight, plus Spurs being on live and winning, was a great night.

Hooked up with massage girl and went to Hollywood while my mate stayed back waiting for the reception girls to finish up. The massage girls friends were back again. One of them had a customer for the night, but he disappeared little while after. I asked afterwards what happened, and she told me that once he got to Hollywood, he thought there were too many girls for him to stick with her, so he dumped her. Poor form on his part, and on top of that she was pretty hot as well. I would not have hesitated seeing her. I mentioned to my girls that her friends were hot as well, but she gave me the look that meant “don’t go there”… hahah. Oh well…

Anyway my mate didn’t end up catching up with me. I didn’t care, I was with my girl, although it would have been good to see all the girls out. The next day he said they were there, but bar hopped a bit.
We went home for boom boom and that was that.

Day 9 Sun 27/11/11

Our last day in Patong. Didn’t do much. Slept in, breaky, moped around and got a final massage from my girl. Taxi to airport about 3pm. My mate was hungover big time, but I was ok. I think the strategy of getting the girl and going home no later than 2-3 am was good as it left me with energy the next day and not too seedy.

As I still had another 5 nights to go in BKK I was feeling good still, while my mate was flying back to Melbourne from Bangkok and was pretty down about going home.
Arrived BKK about 9pm. Taxi to Sukhumvit and check in at hotel – The Dawin Soi 4 Sukhumvit.

First thing to do was search frantically for a place showing the Formula 1. Last race of the season and I wasn’t going to miss it. Didn’t care about girls tonight, they can wait till tomorrow. I found a seedy German pub on soi 4 with a big screen so ducked in there. The race was shown from a live internet feed from German pay tv. A bit different to the BBC commentary I am used to, but could understand most of it (I have german background) and could use my F1 app on my phone to give me live lap times etc. Went back to hotel alone that night and had a great sleep.

Day 10-14 Mon 28/11 – Fri 2/12/11 BKK

Wont go into too much detail about Bangkok…. Just a few notes….. Soi Cowboy is seriously not that far a walk from Soi 4 and Nana. I did it in 10 mins. Don’t know why people on here say they need a taxi. Seriously guys, just walk. Maybe I had a good run with the weather and was not too hot, I don’t know, but it is not far.

I ended up BF 1 girl from a nana bar at the front of Nana Plaza for 2 nights, both Mon night and Thur night. On the Thur night she came olong with me to the gogo bars in Nana plaza, even taking me to one of the ladyboy only gogo’s. That was an experience. Don’t know the names of the gogo’s I went to apart from Angelwitch. Were all pretty good and a BIG difference to the Patong gogo’s. So many more girls…..

I BF another girl from a bar I cant remember. She was the dirtiest girl I have ever been with. Hahaha. Very good. I also went and got a soapie at Annies down the road…….. Very nice as well. Didn’t like the line up at Eden so ended up walking out of the place.

That’s my trip. It was the most awesome trip I have been on, and plan to do it again in June, only bigger. I am taking the whole month off, planning on spending 2 weeks at Phuket, and the other 2 weeks between Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai. Want to explore a little bit and also have the month off to watch Euro.

So anybody planning on being in Thailand in June and want to hook up for a beer and a perve etc, let me know and would be glad to catch up.

Prices
Prices generally seem to be 500- 1500 St and 1000-2000 Lt depending on the girl and any other relevant factors. A few places might ask for more. Pink lady is reportedly expensive and so are the 2 gogo’s GB lounge and dream girls.

Girls
In terms of looks generally harder to find stunners than the Bangkok Gogo’s but there are certainly enough around just have to do a bit of legwork. From what I have learnt girls when they first start in P4P seem to go wherever they have friends. So if a girl has a friend working in Samui that’s where she will go regardless of how attractive or not she is so there are stunners everywhere.

Almost every venue is open air so it can be very hard to escape the heat at night time. Only club with air con was sound club but this is only a small room within sound club so gets packed.

Chewang beach

Green Mango area
Seems much more of a party place than a Mongering place, but there are still plenty of gilrs available.

I would suggest that Green mango and surrounding area in general is predominantly a freelancer area, there are a few bars here and there but majority of girls are in the Clubs/Discos

Green Mango- Very strict with age in this place. Wouldn’t let Thais in who were under 21. Don’t know why not the normal 18 but logic doesn’t always seem to be present in LOS. Main stream RNB in front section, more House style Music in back. Most days was the busiest club. Many freelancers inside also.

Sweet and Soul. Complete variety of music a lot of mainstream pop/Rnb. Seems to be where the ladyboys park themselves next to the entrance. But don’t go in instead they buy cheap drinks in plastic cups from a place directly opposite sweet and Soul. Also spotted a lots of camp looking guys in this place on a few occasions so think tends to be where the gay section head to. Green Mango tends to be busier but on a couple of nights Green Mango was empty and Sweet and Soul was packed why I have no Idea. Not so many freelancers as green Mango I don’t think

Sound Club- Doesn’t get going till about 3 once Green Mango and all the other clubs start closing around 3:30. Mix of Music in different areas. Club is quite large and only club with Air Con. But a verygood club in my opinion and well laid out. Also all the girls from the Beer bars go’gos tend to go straight to Sound after work so has perhaps the best selection in one place.

Also there is a small club if you walk out of green mango and go right. Stays open late, think plays trance style music mostly. Forget name but club is a kind of purple blue colour, never went in. But one of my girls told me lots of freelance girls go there as well.

GB lounge and Dream Girls gogo's, (Club 69 didn’t appear to exist anymore) only popped my head in these briefly girls looked ok but no better than elsewhere but like I said all these girls empty into clubs later anyway.

This area is full of Young Falangs, Just as many Females as Males. Expect some dodgy looks. I am 23 so when with a girl of similar age I got some dodgy looks, nobody ever said anything and they would have heard a mouthful if they had but If you are older says 40’s upwards expect even more evil looks. Not something that bothers me personally but I could undertand why other people might not like this.

Massage Girls

Nida. There are 3 nida massage shops ll close by. There is Nida Massage and bar which is on the road which leads to Chewang beach road as if you were coming from Big C, there is another on soi solo (soi starbucks) and there is one more in chewing beach road. I forget where but I think between soi green mango and soi solo.

The majority of the massage parlours are near the first nida mentioned above. 5 or 6 with girl outside trying to pull you in.

One of my regrets that didn’t try massage as did beer bars, gogos, freelancers. But leaves things left to try..

Pink Lady bar I believe has massage on the Premises. It is on Chewang beach road on your right as you go up one way part, a fair distance from green mango area though just before that you turn right on to take you towards soi reggae. Only saw this place on mylast day and had 2 or absolute stunners in there wish had seen it sooner. Although have read is expensive in there+

Had read about a king El massage place but couldn’t find one think has closed. Heard there were meant tobe a few massage places on south side of soi solo but only pool bars again really.

Soi Solo

Solo Club back of soi Solo has closed.

Solo- Bar – needs to decide wther a bar or club- too loud for a bar but no dance floor- almost pointless unless they have livemusic on which they did a couple of nights.

Had read that north side of soi solo wss a gay area and there is certainly one gay club but one nida in on north side and other places as well are not gay cubs.

Also There is lots of work going on down the middle of soi solo which I believe used to be the coffe shop, but apparently is going to be a new bar/club

Those looking for a ladyboy need look no further than Stars or Christy’s Cabaret Both within a shortwalk from green mango..Can easily chat themup after the late performance. Also I saw the same ladyboys at sweet and soul later on. The Cabaret are good fun to watch even if you are not looking for ladyboys and there are plentyVof regular tousist couples in their watching the shows.

Also is a playgirls (bar) big signs for it along beach road and had a look but ddnt go inside so many girls so little time!

Soi Reggae.

Reggae pub. Walked in here once was early say 11Pm not empty, had live band but there were familys with kids in their Immediatly walked out as not a place to monger at Least not at this time and headed to the beer bars.

Basically has wall to wall pool bars/ beer bars on either side of the road all the way to the reggae pub. Very little if anything to differentiate most of the bars Just have to have a look in a few and see what takes your fancy

Much less busy than green mango area and fewer young party goers

Lamai

If you are not into the clubs hen best bet formongering is Lamai by far. There are loads of beer bars. In basically 4 areas all within 10 minute walk from each other. Again not much to distinguish any of the bars

Fusion. Was empty at 12AM girls said doesn’t get busy this timeof year so I presume only busy around xmas time. Also a few LB’s milling around one og girls said there was a LB bar dpwn the small soi nextto it but I didn’t investigate.

Frankly I had forgotten how many exotically stunning beauties there are in the Nana and Soi Cowboy areas! Staying at the Dynasty Inn which is a pretty decent hotel for the price, I hit the beer bars - the Hillary's etc. in the early evening and moved on to NEP around 10PM. Kinda hit and miss in the bars. Some had a few customers, most were pretty empty but then 10 is early in those places. I did see some very beautiful ladies but I wasn't prepared to pay the high price so I ended up with a freelancer from the Nana parking lot. Not a bad looker but not the striking beauty. Still for 1500 baht short time, I think I did pretty well.

The next morning I got up about 10 and puttered around. Went to Soi 7/1 to look at the Maxim Inn. The Rotary International convention is in Bangkok in May and I will be spending 10 days in town so I wanted a cheap hotel and I was quite pleased with the 990 baht room at Maxim Inn. Those who haven't been on this Soi, it has the Eden Club, Dr. BJ's a couple of decent bars and several massage parlors. I met up with an old friend for a late lunch and then headed over to Soi Cowboy. The live band at Country Road starts at 6 and they are pretty good. The real action on Soi Cowboy doesn't really start until much later but I'm old and tired so I spent a couple of hours with a stunning waitress at Country Road and left the area to have dinner. Went to the Nana beer bars but after a couple of Jameson's I was just too tired so I ended up back in the room by 11 and ready for sleep.

Tomorrow I'm off to Mango for a massage. Last year I spent 1 night in Bangkok on the way out of the country and tried Mango and even though it is expensive, it is worth every penny! She use to sms me everyday and sometimes several times a day but now if she bothers to send me a sms it is very short. When I try to call her often the phone is turned off or just rings. When we do talk she is very cold towards me and tells me she is busy or very tired. She will not tell me what the problem is other than she "has serious". I have asked her if she wants to finish with me and she assures me she does not but I am not sure this is the whole truth. I think either she has a new boyfriend and she wants to see how things are working out before dumping me or as most evenings her phone is turned off she has gone back to working in a bar.

In October she was talking about needing to buy things and how she wanted to earn more money but it was all very vague as to why. I think pressures were coming from her family who live near Khon Kaen and might have been effected by the floods. At the time also she asked me to buy rice that she would sell in 6 months for a big profit. It sounded to me a bit like speculating on the futures market as what she buying rice that was not yet harvested. Anyway I decide to invest in the deal and I am guessing the price of rice has risen because of the floods from what we paid the October so we (she)could be in for a nice profit. I am sure that whatever happens she will get back what we paid and I was always going to let her keep any profit on the deal.

If any of you are in Bangkok in the coming 2 weeks would you be happy to discretely visit the bar she once worked in to see if she is there and if she is what she is doing I would be very grateful. She has always would told me that she hated working in a bar and would never go back. However, given such a change in her personality who knows. If any of you are up for this send me a personal message and I will respond with some more details.

However, I’m a big tall lad and a bit unphased about short Japanese giving me the evil eye so I drank my beer and observed the goings on. There was this table near me full of really aggressive and cool looking Japanese (sunglasses, snappy clothes) to which the bar girls were hovering around like bees around honey. These guys could do nothing wrong. They were grabbing girls, dancing on stage and every now and then looking at me. As for me I could not get a girl near me so I kind of gave up, drank my beer and left.
