Got some time over so I made this little slideshow with a few shots from this year's trip taken at "Talaat Nut" Tuesday/Friday Market in Soi Bua Khao South Pattaya and at Baanzhan Market in Patong, Phuket.

Over the past few years of living in S/E Asia, I have found that Issan girls are 'hands down' the most stunning in the entire world. It's a bold statement I know, and of course totally subjective, however, whenever I see a stunning young Thai lady, it has become part of my opening line...'Where are you from, Issan?' 9 times out of 10 I get a nod, a stunning smile and the question 'how did you know this?'

I am curious if anyone else has the same opinion.

I be will landing at Bangkok early morning around 6:30am.. Do you guys know of any hotel close to Nana Plaza, which has a 24hr check-in policy.

1. No joiner Fee
2. Between 1000 - 2000 THB per day.

Tipping a Mamasan/Papasan

This might take the cream of the crop of newbie questions but is there a customary fashion to tip a mamasan or a papasan in the soapy places? I've read too much about cultural differences between the west and Thailand and was wondering whether there is an inappropriate fashion of going about it.

Given their assistance was very helpful (picked an absolutely right girl for you), do you just "hand" them the note, slide it into their hand with a handshake or some other method? Just don't want to offend them if the gesture comes off demeaning to their cultural sensitivity.
