We all know about the dozens (is that number too low) of tailors. Are there places to get leather good made as well? I am thinking shoes and belts? Would be nice to have a pair of shoes that actually fit properly.

There are but the advice would give you is don't bother. The quality of leather and materials are not great and you will find they will fall apart quickly and unlike clothes there is more science needed.
You are better off to go to cobblers in Europe after to a foot clinic, get evaluated on your walking and running, they give you models / insoles and then made. A couple of my staff do that and swear by the results.
