Just an update now that I'm back from my trip. I booked the taxi lady above to take me to my hotel from the airport. Well she didn't turn up ! I called her and she said she forgot about the booking. I was very annoyed to be honest, and then faced a large queue for the taximeters. As it turned out, the new taximeter service is a breeze and the queue moved fast, so I got to my hotel in good time - only 300 baht. But I can't recommend this taxi lady. Just not good enough. She won't be getting my business again.

It's only a short stopover in BKK for me so I want to make the most of my time. I've decided I want to try the nuru massage at Dream Heaven on Soi 33. If I stay in a hotel nearby I can maybe fit in 2 sessions - one in the MP and one outcall to my hotel. The S33 is right next to that place (according to Google street view) but I want to check if they are guest-friendly or not. If not I can always have 2nd session in the MP.

I'm looking for a cheap hotel on Soi 33 Sukhumvit and noticed the S33 Compact hotel is nicely located right in the middle of the MP action. Has anyone stayed there? What's it like ? How girl-friendly is it?

any recommendations for BKK taxi services you can book in advance (via their website etc) ?

I'm coming to BKK in a few weeks, and will be staying in a hotel in Chatuchak area. I'm thinking of getting the airport link train and then BTS to the nearest station (5 mins walk to hotel). But will it be noticeably quicker and cheaper than getting a taxi?
