  1. A few days ago I visited a friend who is staying there and had a coffe in the hotel. No question is GF. Otherwise we not talked much about the hotel, our conversation was devoted mainly to girls ;-). In my opinion too far from Sukhumvit Road
  2. just give the area and the soi. eg. Sukhumvit soi 15. If you say "soi one-five" he will understand
  3. I stayed in that hotel for 2 weeks last year. Yes, Guest friendly.
  4. Except Foodland for Thai food and Gullivers for european food I find that in most restaurants in Sukhumvit devoted to tourists around Nana you can often experience a lack of freshnes in their ingredients to say the best. That's why I usually take the BTS and head to a Mall (MBK, Siam paragon or Robinsons) to take a byte in MK or other restaurants around. Today I just found a small chinese restaurant in Robinsons really delicious. Where do you have a byte in sukhumvit?. Any ideas?. I'm not talking about fancy restaurants but primaraly fresh food and if possible good quality dishes. By the way do you know if there's any MK restaurant in Sukhumvit.
  5. Great pics mate. Thank you for posting
  6. Thanks for your response. I booked today for 3 weeks in july.
  7. For those who have stayed there,I think it's in the very Sukhumvit road. Do you consider its rooms noisy because of traffic?
  8. During my last trip in march, a girl I took LT asked me in the hotel. "You like Thaksin or Abishit?". I just said I don't know. She was a supporter of the red shirts. We met a couple of more days and she used to kid about me liking Abishit, even telling to friends and the odd taxi driver. I didnt get very concerned about these jokes as at that time the red protests were very peaceful. Now that the conflict has scalated I wouldn't like these comments said openly just in case someone take them seriously
  9. I like the soi, the price and the rooms seem ok. The only 'But' is that it seems there is no Internet in the room. I stayed in citadines that according to the map is nearby, in the opposite side. Citadines is a little more expensive but good value for money imo. I didn't notice Federal hotel at that time.
  10. I stayed last summer and was guest friendly but keep in mind that Accord hotels may change their mind in a given moment but think not probably in this case. Good hotel but no stay again. Personally, I didn't feel comfortable in the access area with so much staff greeting and watching you as you walk into with a different girl every night. On the other hand girls might think that you have a lot of money because of the big and fancy rooms. As a result they may expect more money from you. In my case I just took advantage of a extreme special offer at that time. As for the hotel itself, If you really enjoy a good one this might be yours. I found its gym very good and well equiped.
  11. I stayed in The Irish clock. No complaints http://www.irishclock.com/
  12. I signed up for just a month and downloaded many lessons, still studying them. Today I think you can find many of these videos in youtube for free.
  13. I use no books for speaking and listening. Instead, I focus on videos with transcripts such as Thaipodcast. I find them more useful as make you being aware all the time on the right pronounciation and tones. As for writing and reading I bought a book but not started this stage yet.
