  1. Hi Ajay,

Unfortunately I don't frequent the discos often enough to be able to recommend anyone specifically, however I can tell you the "pick-up scene" in BKK discos isn't the same as regular bars in the west. Firstly there are a ton more avalailable women making it a buyers market, secondly they are professionals making them easily approachable. (many will even approach you)

  2. I'm a very big fan of Bourbon St. I used to stay at the hotel for the first few years of my trips to BKK. I've since found other accommodations but still visit the restaurant regularly. The owner is a great guy, very friendly and very helpful and the staff (both hotel and restaurant) were always very warm and caring. I really enjoy the food there, especially the breakfast. LOL.
  3. I too love Suk Rd. My "hood" is Soi 22 and Washington Square. Doug Harrison and The Bourbon Street Inn, Denny's corner beer bar, The Dubliner Irish Pub. Everything within walking distance of Cowboy, Soi 33, Soi 8, and Nana. Skytrain station to the rest of the city. Sukhumvit is my home away from home.
  4. I took my Tilac to Sirocco for dinner last year. One of the most amazing experiences of my life. The setting and the view was spectacular, the service was exceptional, and the meal was fantastic. If you really want to make an impression or have an experience, I highly recommend Sirocco.
  5. I am very much looking forward to this commuter train finally being open. It's usually not much of a hassle taking a taxi except for traffic during the day. My only question is how much difficulty would one have dealing with luggage? I could see this train being a fantastic thing for runs to the airport during the day with carry-on luggage, but what about the tourist flying in for a month or more with heavy luggage?
  6. For some reason it seems I ALWAYS arrive in BKK from FLA at midnight. I generally get checked in and settled then go out and party for a few hours. Sleep late the next morning, then make my rounds getting back in touch with people and places. Seems I'm over any jetlag almost overnight. On the other hand, when I return to the states it seems to take me days and days to recover. Maybe It's not the jetlag, just having a harad time getting over leaving the LOS again. LOL
  7. I've been coming to Thailand annually for some years now. Generally stay in the same inexpensive hotels in BKK, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Samui. Never had a problem with bed bugs.
