  1. Worst case scenario if you are apprehended by Immigration you can not re-enter Thailand for 5 years. If you are staying in a Hotel they are bound to report foreign guests to Immigration. Chances of being caught low but still a chance.
  2. It's slow its quiet. Food especially seafood excellent and cheap. That's one reason I would go back... Bars a quiet but fun. If that's your scene then you will enjoy. I's a good change to the Pattaya/Nana scene and worth a look.
  3. I would not even worry about it... just be honest if questioned which I doubt would even happen.... If worried have a bit of paperwork like your return flight details ready.. just keep smiling at him/her... Not a problem...enjoy your stay.... Keep us posted in fairness on how you go..
  4. I'm not sure Thailand is the place to detox... It's rather the opposite......Air quality, pesticides, herbicides, hygiene of food, water quality... This is where you come to burn the candle at both ends and farkin have a good time...55555...you will feel better for it......5555
  5. Chlamydia nothing to worry about, easy treatable!!!! Tell that story to my missus and 2 mia's who got it from who and who is responsible for it....!!!
  6. Rajah Hotel... Never stayed there and never will.. On occasions when I have a room in Nana Hotel overlooking the rooms of Rajah seeing what the favourite class of people and kids and wives in black attire from head to toe is enough for me to avoid ever consider staying there... Your looking for a budget Hotel.... Try... Nana Hotel...hard to go past that place.. tried an tested accommodation over many years....

    goo กู

Gaw Guy + sarah u = Goo meaning I or me (impolite). The missus new exactly what I was saying when I said your phrase. The best she could translate it to was "Go and get stuffed". She mentioned be careful who you say the phrase too as you might have big ploblem after.
  9. Peak hour traffic use the Rail/BTS shits on a Taxi stopped just 3km from Nana going nowhere.
  10. Just confirming Sheraton by Four Seasons have adjoining rooms. They recommend to book prior to arrival to guarantee availability. Thanks for help again guys especially Mrfreeze.
  11. Be aware a lady might come out of a stall or you might get a hands on massage from some Thai bloke while you are having a chee (or piss). I usually get a laugh when I am washing my hands and ask the lady who just walked out if I can borrow her lipstick.
  12. Thank's guys for help. Still no hits with my research... Have sent mail to the hotels yesterday. No repy as yet. TiT...
  13. Fanx mrfreeze.... I have searched Agoda and also Trip Advisor but have not found anything. I have also searched this forum but no hits... Will check Four points...Cheers
  14. I have some friends visiting Bkk with 3 kids in their late teens. What I am looking for is a hotel that has a common adjoining door to the parents room so the parents still have privacy and the kids can do what they want. Somewhere around Sukumvit Rd close to BTS is a bonus. Cheers for reply.
  15. Dynasty Grande good place to stay. Have stayed maybe 12 times... Have not stayed at the Majestic... After 4 years and maybe 50 visits to Nana I prefer Nana Hotel.. yes a little outdated and not as fancy but for your $ you get a good Western breakfast on top and at a cheap price compared to surround accommodation.. Dynasty has location.. but Nana Hotel has location,location,location....
  16. If you like adrenalin tell the rider you are late for an appointment can you get me there quick, or, If you have a friend with you put a bet on with the riders, the first bike to arrive at destination gets a tip. More fun than having sex without a condom!
  17. It is definitely one of the things you have to tick off on the Bucket list. (Things to do before you kick the bucket and die!). But in saying that one day is enough... The fun experience was over for me after that. I have missed the last two years and hope I miss the next however many.... signed.. cranky old fart...
  18. You cant go past San Miguel beer. It is a low carbohydrate or another word low carb beer, a low sugar content which means low calories or kilojoules compared with similar beers. Light beer can mean different things in different countries. In Australia a Light Beer refers to Low alcohol content. In the USA I believe it refers to low calories. San Miguel has an alcohol content similar to the Chang or Singha beers you have tried. In Australia it would be called a full strength beer or heavy beer (not light). I drink mine with a wedge of lemon pronounced "Ma now" (said quickly) in Thai speak. If you buy it at the local 7/11 it is priced more than the local beers however as a general rule in a bar you would pay the same price or close to the other beers on offer. You can buy low alcohol beers at the 7/11's or Tesco's but I think it would be fair to say in the bars and clubs low alcohol beer is not generally on offer. (Mrfreeze above might correct me?) It is not uncommon and in fact it is a Thai way of drinking beer to drink it from a glass full of ice. So if you wish to lower the alcohol content at a bar you could always ask for this. Forget asking the waitress about the beers...she would know more about pulling teeth or growing rice..... Cheers.......... (Chong Gaeow)
  19. Last time I was there I had James Bond staying in the next room.....All I heard was some lass screaming ROGER MORE all night....
  20. Gday Dave ......... I don't think you would have much luck with a guided dirt bike tour near Bangkok. There is just to many people and no dirt tracks. Like you say the nearest is Pattaya. I have not done it but have seen the adverts for the place just out of Patts to let some steam off. Pattaya is not that far from Bangkok... You could easily do a day trip down there for some fun. Pattaya is not a bad place to stay either...cough cough...
  21. Like everyone I've been had with the Taxi's and as sure as the buffalo will never get sick again I will get stung again. My tips though...Be happy with the driver... don't be serious... that's the Thai way. I speak shit Thai but use a few words like "Meter D My" in a jovial way. Is meter working ok?... The usual response is "My D" which means no it doesn't work good as in the driver is working to hard for what is being earned ... A response like "Cia Jy Dooway"...I feel sorry for you also...sets the mark and a smile...You are both on the same terms... Another ploy I use is to bargain a set price with the driver and no meter... You must know however what it would usually cost in the first place... A trip from Suwanaboomy to Nana for example around 450bht + tolls. By doing this the driver knows you know how much roughly it should cost. At the end of the day I tip the driver for being honest if I have not been ripped off.... "Giptung coon Thai, Giptung coon Farang". Price for local's and price for tourist's
  22. I use my phone as a Hot Spot....Can WIFI to my computer and also 6 other free loaders....... Why do you need a router??... For 60bht a week with AIS phone company I'm connected... Plenty of free WIFI places in Thailand also... Check if your phone can Hot Spot.... Old technology........
  23. Only in Thailand...!!...Ok whats the cost for an extra person...500bht in most Hotels .... Thats ummm $16AUD... Enjoy the fun and pay the Hotel...If you tip the workers there a few BHT and give a smile you will most likely not cop the extra fee anyway...... ...
