  1. The Soi 17 entrance toonboy mentions is the best to use if coming from Soi Cowboy, just use your room card to open the gate. The Four Points is approximately half way between Nana and Asok BTS so a good location if wanting to go to Soi 4 or Soi Cowboy.
  2. South East Pharmacy near Soi 15 I believe is open until 10PM and also the one on the left in Soi 15 not far in as you walk from Sukhumvit Road. No doubt there will be others even closer to Soi Cowboy but I have never noticed them.
  3. No lounge but many options available through the Hotel. Check this link http://bysherry.com/sheraton-grande-sukhumvit-bangkok/ for a guide to benefits while it was when it came under the SPG umbrella it is still relevant now. Over on Flyertalk there is a long post about the hotel, also one about Queens Park Marriott which might be worth reading for comparison. I actually like the SGS options more than just a executive lounge.
  4. Depends on which airport you are arriving at - BKK or DMK and location of your hotel. DMK then Taxi but as the original topic is about BKK then tha's where I am assuming you are arriving. If arrival time is 10 PM then I'd expect about an hour before you are actually leaving the airport at best. ARL and BTS close around midnight so you need to time it right. If it's your first time to BKK then I'd take a taxi just for the ease of it.
  5. ah yes, I read it as get back to BKK go get a BJ and pick up bag then head to airport. I would of just contacted hotel and said I’d collect bag Sunday and grab it before heading to airport.
  6. The Kiwi on Soi 8, The Sport Corner down on Soi 20, The Sports Bar on Soi 13, Hanrahans on Soi 4 are all places to check. All should have it advertised on their FB or website so look them up.
  7. Why not try one of the private car services as I do not understand why you would have to pay 2x 1200 for a taxi? I believe around 1500 average price for a one way fare. Get to BKK, go get a blowie and collect your bag and head to the airport in a taxi or get the BTS/MRT to the ARL station and then to airport.
  8. Only danger I have experienced is those who are not fully shaved and me working the clit with my tongue with my top lip putting pressure on it from above. After it feels like an ulcer has come up from the inside of my lip rubbing on the pubic hair
  9. In my 14 stays at the hotel I have never had a girl asked to leave ID at reception / security. If you enter from the ground floor you bypass reception as it is on the next level up and can take the lift up to your room. From reading the review above it seems the OP had an out-call come so it might be a bit different.
  10. I have stayed here previously and never had to have a girl leave ID at reception, the reception area could be classed as a bit out of the way as you exit the lift onto level 7 and then head to the lifts that take you to your room.
  11. As an alternative the Four Points in Soi 15 is good and also my go to Hotel each trip. The Sofitel is very nice, I personally would stay there if I was in the hotels reward program (I'm a SPG now Marriott person). Whats your budget in THB per night for hotel?
  12. Just seen this posted over on PA by a board member. “Guys to summarize that due to elections, we expect bars to be officially closed & alcohol sales banned on the 2 dates as follows; 1. From 6pm Sat March 16th to Midnight on March 17/18th. Bars open on Mar 18th as normal. 2. From 6pm on Sat March 23rd to Midnight on March 24/25th. Bars open Mar 25th as normal Please correct if the summary is incorrect.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Most likely. Once I arrived in July on one of the Buddhist holidays and found a BJ bar open and was able to drink too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I've stayed a couple of times early on in my travels to BKK but have now changed to staying at the Four Points in Soi 15. For gaining hotel rewards status it is a good cheap hotel but not one I would stay at with status. My main reasons for swapping to the Four Points is the bed at Aloft I find a bit too hard and the damp smell in some of the rooms. I believe they have removed carpet and laid vinyl flooring to combat this. The other reason is the rooms only have a shower where Four Points also have a nice deep bath which I use for some bath time fun with my girl ;) The Aloft when I stayed had a good buffet breakfast and from what uncle Tom Tit has said above still does. Staff were always friendly, and the area is good for night life. Make sure to look at the deals section of the hotels website as there might be one that brings the cost down a bit. For the Four Points I have a flexible booking for mid April after Songkran cheaper than the prepaid rate after using one of the promo codes under the deals section.
  15. Hilton Sukhumvit is on Soi 24 and Double Tree on Soi 26.... As for guest friendly, I've never stayed but experience at other higher end hotels has never been a problem bringing anyone back to the room.
  16. What is the nightly room rate you are looking at? To me many nicer hotels than the Landmark about though I have only stayed in the ones around same cost or more.
  17. Looks like I will be paying a visit in April !! Thanks for the suggestion.
  18. Not stayed there yet, but I have found the higher end hotels are good when bringing a guest back with nobody questioning you.
  19. I'm not one to know the in's and out's of the different types of beers so my suggestion might be way off for you but look up Hair of the Dog who have a range of craft beers which there might be something to your taste and liking. Only problem I believe is they are a bit expensive.
  20. Arrived Thursday morning at 8:40am, walked off plane at 8:44 and got to Immigration at 8:46 (Gate D5) 4 minute wait and I was off to get my luggage... and the 4 minute "delay" was because I took the counter with 1 person waiting and 1 being processed failing to see he had 2 kids with him and they took their time getting through, I always seem to pick the shortest line with the most disorganized people in it :D Bag came out at 9:00 and I was at the ARL at 9:10 for the 9:15 departure. Checked into hotel in Soi 15 a few minutes after 10:00 Pretty much same time line as previous trips when coming in on Singapore Airlines at that time. I always select a seat as far forward as possible so can be off the plane early and I power walk to Immigration leaving everyone in my wake, I'm a big guy and don't move fast but once off the plane I move faster than anyone else  So Fast track is of no real benefit for me. Even if being one of the last off the plane I still see no benefit if you can walk faster than everyone else and get to the Immigration counters before the rest of the herd. I value the 1200 fee as an extra BJ or 12 beers, in fact I value all saving in Thailand as a BJ or beer
  21. In Soi 15 there is a massage place my regular girl thinks is the best, it's on the left and diagonally opposite Hooters.
  22. As above, Vasu on the corner of Soi 7/1 always has best rate compared to Super Rich or any of the other money exchanges near by, though different currencies might not be so always best to check http://www.vasuexchange.com and compare to the other Super Rich outlets. Super Rich (Orange) and Super Rich (Green) have smart phone apps where current rate, hours and locations are listed which can be handy if you are not near the Nana area.
  23. Never stayed but have thought about it due to being in the SPG / Marriott program. Any reason your looking at St Regis other than it being a 5 Star hotel? Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is really nice, close to Soi Cowboy, not far from Nana and girl friendly. Even basic rooms I have stayed in have been great, the only negative for me is the bath being small as I like to have some bath time fun with a girl.
  24. I've only on 1 occasion had a taxi fare above 500 THB to Nana area (meter ran fast scam) and all the other fares have been around 400 including tolls etc. Because of some of the scamming and drivers wanting fixed fares or demanding tips I take the ARL from Swampy now.
  25. Yeah Sheraton Grande is really nice, I've stayed there 14 times in the last 3 years. Buffet breakfast is expensive if paying for it though, but at the time I was severely hung over and needed food at any cost, I made sure I got my moneys worth though :D
