  1. Yes, if it is just one night and one girl should not be a problem. Just check her in as your gf when she arrives. Assuming your booking is for 2. I have not stayed at this hotel, but have stayed at a Swissotel Nai Lert Bangkok before it closed and had no issue bringing back girls.
  2. I am seeing the same when trying to reach the forum landing page www.bangkok-addicts.com/forum. Have sent a PM to admin reporting the issue. The "view new content" works. www.bangkok-addicts.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums
  3. Some girls are, others don't care at all. The more experienced hardened girls tend to not care. They have been to most hotels plenty of times before and it is just another gig. I have had some younger or inexperienced girls get star struck by the hotel. One actually covered her face and literally dropped to the floor when we walked into a suite at the Radisson Blu Plaza. One insisted on we taking a very long bath. Eventually I had to pull her out if there. They do enjoy the room and some will stay longer if they can. However, I do not stay in nice hotels for the girls. I do it for me. I enjoy the feeling of bringing a beautiful girl to an upscale room. I spend the extra cash because it makes me feel good, not just because of the perks or to impress a girl. I also enjoy the other end of the scale. Bringing a trashy drunk girl to a filthy ST hotel  I did not really like Grand Centre Point T21. The decor gave me associations to cold dorm rooms. Also, the bed floats around during activates. The Radisson Blu and JW Marriot are probably the best 5 star hotel options, close to Cowboy and NEP respectively. Honourable mention to Sofitel. The Sheraton Grande and Marriott Marquis Queens Park look really nice, but I have not stayed at any of them yet. The Westin is too old. The rooms are really worn down and the reception is not nice at all. I have not stayed at Pullman, but it looks like a good choice.
  4. Thanks for sharing. Btw, Ruamchitt is the short time hotel above Thermae;) I have stayed in 25 hotels in Sukhumvit and had a bar girl in my room at all of them. Never payed a joiner fee. Now I just assume there is no fee. Never heard of anyone actually paying a joiner fee...
  5. Like other have said, shop around. Check the price directly with the hotel. Sometimes it is cheaper, but not always. If they are higher than on the booking sites, ask them if they will give you a better price. Also, if you are staying for a while, ask for a discount. I got a good price on a two week stay last year. During low season you are more likely to get a good price. Note that you may also get membership benefits from the hotels loyalty program if you book directly. So more likely to get upgrades. Sign up and sign in. Will sometimes give you a better price. Some sites list the total in the search, while others add the tax on the confirmation site. Always compare the final price on the confirmation page. They also use this difference in their favor when setting up the price guarantied schemas. (Comparing their price without tax to others total.) Try search on sites that list offers from several booking sites. One such site is www.hotelscombined.com. Some booking sites have loyalty programs. Like Hotels.com. You get one free night on every 10th night, valued based on the average of your nights. If you ever use it, it is a 10 % price reduction compared to the similar price on Agoda. I have had a lot of free night on this. Note that to maximise the value, you need to use the free night on a booking where the rate is higher than the value of your free night excluding tax. If your booking is lower, you lose the difference. Free cancelation is valuable if it does not come with a large additional cost. Look at it as an option. If I am unsure of whether I will stay in Bangkok or Pattaya, I make one open booking each place well in advance when the prices are low. I put it in my calendar to cancel one of them. Check the price regularly, also after your booking if you have free cancelation. If the price goes down, cancel and rebook right away. I did that on a booking recently, and saved the 2500 baht difference on a 4 night stay just by cancelling and re-booking the same hotel.
  6. It is. I stay there regularly. Nice hotel with walking distance to Soi Cowboy. They offer a good rate for this summer at Club Carlson. For the price, it is probably the best upscale hotel alternative in Sukhumvit. The pool is only ok, but their western, Thai, Japanese AND Korean breakfast is excellent!
  7. JWM. Best choice in that price range around Nana. The pool is great. A good gym as well. Ask for a room facing east, and you will have a view overlooking Nana plaza. The Sofitel also has a great pool area. Has a lively and intimate feel to it. Good hotel, but in my experience, can not match the JWM overall. Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 also has a good pool, but lack atmosphere. And the rooms are terrible. Decor like dorm rooms and beds that float around. Also, the hotel does not serve alcohol anywhere. You can still bring your own from 7-11. But still weird. The Radisson is good, but for a pool there are better options in that price range. Best pool area within reach of Nana was the Swissotel Nai Lert Park, but they closed in December. It was getting old, and location was terrible so not surprised.
  8. No problem. Formalities first. "Guest friendly", so no cover charge. I have never left girl ID in reception (but I would if FL). You do pass the reception area when you leave, and there is always activity there. So a bit of a shame walk involved, but no one cares. I don't mind at all. The swimming pool is not olympic size, but it is def not small. I have seen some small pools (e.g. Dawin), but the roof top pool at Park Plaza soi 18 has a good size. The pool area is great actually. Clean, sunny and relaxing. There is also a small bar which is not too pricy. Clientele is - I would say younger. But no dreads or flip-flops, no soccer top mongerers. I remember seeing a few asian couples, but I would not say that there was any particular kind of guests that stood out. Generally a very relaxed clientele. The location is quiet and nice. There is a few laundries and regular massage shops around. The restaurant next door is ok. A short walk up to the main road, but I did not mind. Asoke is 4 - 5 min walk away. Use a taxi when you have a girl with you. Rooms are great. Well decorated. Could not hear anyone from neighboring rooms. They have a very good breakfast with a wide selection, but I usually sleep through it.
  9. Still not soi 16. Soi 16 has it's entrance oposite Ratchadaphisek Road from Park Plaza and is the soi Long Table is on. Park Plaza is on Ratchadaphisek road.
  10. There is no Park Plaza on soi 16. There is a Park Plaza on soi 18 and one on Ratchadaphisek Road 16. If you mean the one on soi 18, I can provide information in detail. I have stayed there many times. If you mean the one on Ratchadaphisek Road, I can only say that it looks good, and it is on my list to try but I fear it may be noisy due to traffic. The Park Plaza on soi 18 usually offer a better rate and is on a very quiet location. From Soi Cowboy, it will take you about the same time to get to, given the time it takes to cross the roads. From Nana, the taxi will also be about the same.
  11. You are not asking for anything that the filters on search pages will not do for you (filters applied: hotels.com, agoda). If you are more specific, it will be easier to make recommendations. Majestic Suites is a good choice in that price range and it is on Sukh road.
  12. They renovated the rooms at the Landmark in 2015. The rooms are great now, and except for the lobby, it does not feel like an old style hotel any more.
  13. They are really not safe. Thailand traffic casualty statistics are terrible. Road fatality rate are ranked number two in the world. Motorbike accidents and tourist are over-represented. Tourist versus resident road fatality risks are two times higher. When you are on a motorcycle taxi you are part of these statistics, most likely not wearing a helmet and at nighttime you are probably not be sober. Some of the moto taxi driver are young wreckless drivers. A surprisingly large number of the bar girls have scaring from a motorbike accident on their body (or at least so they say..) I still use them sometimes when the are no options, as they are quick in traffic or if I am just going down a quiet soi daytime. Pick an experienced (older?) driver and ask him to go slowly if he is speeding.
  14. Since the forum (both PA and BA) was down last weekend, I am not able to access content on BA using a browser. Tried on laptop and phone. Have cleared cache. Based on the limited activity, I think others are having the same issue. Are admins aware? Will the issue be fixed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Assuming you mean near Nana Plaza (and not Nana BTS), the JW Marriott is your best option if you want to spend a little more. I have stayed at the Sofitel as well, but it is further from the NEP and JWM is a much better hotel. The Landmark is also a good hotel near the NEP now that they have renovated their rooms, but it is not as nice as JWM. JWM does not have a joiner fee ("girl friendly").
  16. Lower floor Poseidon have also had some girls on the more chubby side but still looking good.
  17. It's a ST hotel with a freelance bar in the basement. No joiner fee. And the hotel is far from up market, but very practical and clean. Have everything you need at a resonable rate.
  18. Thank for reporting on Udon! Highly appreciated. I too will reconsider my future travel plans. I have heard that a lot of stunners come over from Lao to work in Udon. I imagine that you would have to know someone to introduce you to the system. Probably highly overrated as well.
  19. Not as much, no. But if you want to be careful, you should consider wearing a condom during BJs. Most STD/STIs (yeast infection, herpes, chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea, with the exception of HIV) can transfer from saliva to your penis, but it is less likely than from the vagina. Btw, I am willing to take the risk so I always go for bareback BJs unless the girl insists. In my experience, only about 1 out of maybe 10 girls ask for a condom before giving a BJ. Think of condom BJs as the price you pay for having a gf. lol
  20. Getting a taxi from Suvarnabhumi to the city is very easy. Ignore all taxi services inside the airport building. Go down to the ground floor where the public taxi stand is. Right outside, at about the middle of the length of the building there is a machine that will assign a taxi lane to you. Go to the taxi in your lane number. Tell the driver to use meter and highway. Should be in all about 200 bath to Sukhumvit + about 70 for highway tolls. From Don Mueang it is a bit more complicated and often there is a queue. Go upstairs and find a taxi on the opposite side (?) of the main exit (follow the Thais). You will get a better deal here and limited to no waiting. It has been a while since I have been at Don Mueang, so maybe someone can help me with more accurate directions.
  21. Use a condom and that is all you need. Zithromax is an antibiotic. Do not take antibiotic, or any medicine, when you are not infected! If you take one dose, you need to take a full treatment or you are contributing to antibiotic resistance which is a major medical concern. Besides, all medicine have side effects and your body don´t need more unnecessary chemicals in your systems.
  22. If you consistently use a condom you will not give your girlfriend an sti or std. That includes while receiving a BJ. Also, don´t go down on them. You are very unlikely to get and sti from a BJ or by going down on a girl, but it is possible. Sounds like you want to be on the safe side. If you can, stick with gogo girls. They have to deliver a negative test regularly in order to work. Their livelihood depends on staying clean. Stis and stds are rare in the gogo bars. If you still feel like you should take a test, Sukhumvit Hospital close to Ekkamai will test you on drop in and give you a result right away. A lot of the bar girls use this clinic. Bring your passport. Note that some stds have an incubation time and that rapid test that give you a result right away are less accurate.
  23. I have stayed in more than 25 hotels, and balcony rooms are rare in Bangkok. Here is a list of hotels which I believe has balcony rooms and that are girl friendly: Double one by Aspira, Executive rooms only Stable Lodge Phachara Suites, Executive rooms only Centre Point Sukhumvit 10 Manhattan Bangkok, some rooms - contact hotel Twin Peaks Residence iCheck Inn Soi 2 Aloft Bangkok Soi 11, some rooms The list is in no particular order and is not exhaustive. Check the description that the room actually has a balcony before you finalize your booking. Also, do a quick google search to confirm guest/girl/joiner friendly. Enjoy!
  24. Read this: http://www.bangkok-addicts.com/forum/topic/5291-the-rembrandt-girl-friendly/ On paper, I don´t believe it is guest friendly. But with discretion it was not enforced when I stayed there. Use the doors further away from the reception and go straight up the stairs to the 1st floor. Use the elevators from there.
  25. The Grande Centre Point is not that upscale. And if it were, it would not really be a problem. Upscale hotel staff are usually professionals and do their best to make you feel welcome. All kinds of people are guests there, and most likely no one will openly pass judgement. It did not come across as a hotel with a lot of business traveler. Also, for some reason I did not run into that many other guests there. There are few places where guests interact or pass. I stayed there with a girl from Isaan. She feel did not feel out of place there, and chatted with the staff we passed. Overall, the hotel did not appeal to me. The pool is really nice, but lacks a bar. When I stayed there, the hotel had a policy not to serve alcohol beverages. So get your own beer at 7-11. Toilet rings are heated! Maybe this will be helpful: http://www.bangkok-addicts.com/forum/topic/5745-grand-centre-point-or-the-continent-hotel/
