  1. I liked Chiang Mai. Loi Kroh is a small scene but I found a fun bar there and had a good time. Very affordable - I think I paid 300bht bar fine and 1000ST. Been a couple of years though. There's tons of sightseeing options. I took a three day/two night private (just my buddy and me) van tour up to Chiang Rai, taking in lots of fun like rafting, elephant park, tiger park, Chiang Rai temples, etc. No chance to monger on that portion of the itinerary, but it was a lot of fun.

I'd love to hear about Yangon. It's on my non-monger travel list anyway but I'm optimistic there would be some willing young women there.
  3. Koh Samui might be a good compromise for you. The scene is pretty good in my opinion although it's mostly beer bars and I believe 1 (?) gogo. Beaches and water sports are good and you're within easy day trip distance to the marine park. I would definitely go back there.
  4. I second this. I like to read trip reports for the less common destinations. All you have to do is find one girl that's right for you and the trip can be amazing.
  5. I've never been, but from what I recall reading elsewhere there's a very modest scene amidst some of the smaller streets near the Hilton resort. Like Bintabaht. Bring your own if possible.
  6. Perhaps you'd have better luck there with the 'dating' scene. Getting girls from DIA or TF.
  7. I took a tour which included the boat trip from BKK then a guide/bus in Ayutthaya. Lots of fun and worth it.
  8. If you don't get an answer here go to the hotel website and look for a way to email them. I've done this before and the hotel owners have always been prompt and gracious in their replies. If they're in Paton they know the story.
  9. I read "She even did a circus performer...." and thought wow, this is going in an unexpected direction.
  10. I thought I liked spicy food. Then I went to Thailand. Yes, it's delicious, fresh, inexpensive, authentic, fun, and memorable. I found that even when I let them know I only wanted 'medium spice' that was too much. I felt like a pussy doing it, but asking for low spice was more enjoyable for me. So good though. I don't regret one bite of it.
  11. I used a DTAC 'happy tourist' plan. Two weeks including unlimited data. It was great.
  12. Was there a year ago for one week and had a blast. I agree that Lamai has plenty going on for a short stay, but I wish I'd gotten to Chaweng more. I was there with a buddy. We didn't go out every night but when we did Lamai was plenty of fun. Good bar, restaurants... Took a day trip to the marine park and another trip for diving. Good times.
