  1. Woraburi Hotel in Soi 4 was the only place I have ever been bitten by bedbugs. Hundreds of bites all down my one arm. Mind you that was nearly 20 years ago!
  2. Stayed in Dynasty Inn recently for first time in years. Good value and couldn't be much closer to Nana and loads of Soi 4 bars. Rooms at the back are surprisingly quiet too.
  3. There are a few cheap and cheerful places on or around Soi 4. Try Heaven@4 or Petals Inn.
  4. I've stayed at the Ohana a few times. It's great if you can get a good price. I like the location and staff are reasonably friendly. They do occasionally get some large groups staying there. Once had a coach load of Australian teenagers there who basically took over the swimming pool and gym for a couple of days. Guest friendly but you do need to be aware that mongers are a minority there.
  5. I am staying at Stable Lodge now. As I had hoped my room is on the Soi 8 side rather than the back. I haven't heard any construction noise at all.
  6. I took freelancers from Hilary 2 back there. I can't remember now whether they had to leave ID at the desk but it wasn't a problem. Analisa is a 5 minute walk away so I didn't do incall but left someone else to clean up the room!
  7. I think I'm out the front as that's where the better rooms are. Fingers crossed.
  8. I am staying there next week for 3 days so will report back. Disappointed if there's major construction nearby. I have stayed twice before and liked it. Furnishings are a bit old and spartan but location is great and balcony is a real bonus at the price point.
  9. There is a fixed price taxi stand just outside arrivals. I think it was $8 for a tuk tuk last time I was there, a bit more for a car. Supposedly you can just walk out of the airport and get one for less on the street but it's hardly worth it unless you are really hard up especially if it's your first time in Phnom Penh.
