  1. The best booking sites that I have used are (in order): 1. Agoda.com 2. booking.com 3. asiatravel.com In addition, I plan to utilize wotif.com for my next trip. They offer amazing deals. I suggest you give it a try. Always compare the rates with the deals mentioned on hotel sites as well. The hotel deals are more flexible.
  2. WJ, your'e welcome. They have a special 2,100 baht deal going on. Check it out for Dec. Do share your your tenface experience with us. X
  3. This just came in the mail from them. November and december look good!
  4. Vai Vai has the best Pizza that I have ever tasted. But that is in Koh Samui. The Soi 8 branch doesn't even come close. It is perhaps that the owners live in Samui.
  5. Relatively new property on main Sukhumvit. Nicely decorated and spacious accommodation. Prices are starting off at 3,000 baht for a suite. A must look. http://b.imagehost.org/t/0666/gallery_4b.jpg' alt='gallery_4b.jpg'> [/img]
  6. dreaming of Bangkok

  7. I am a serious hifi addict - an audiophile per se. On every visit I manage to visit a number of hi-end hifi shops; at times to just see what new equipment is available for listening and mostly to buy music. Many may not know that Bangkok is considered a haven for audiophile CD recordings. They have a huge collection of high resolution recordings (may it Cds, HDCDs, XRCDs, SACDS). The best places to shop of music that I found have been: 1. Amarin Plaza - opposite Gayson. Houses at least 6 decent shops. 2. Central World - Has a fantastic music shop on the ground floor. 3. Hifi Centre - In the lane next to Big C supermarket. Emporium and Paragon also have a number of shops. The music shop in Emporium wrapped up the last time I was there. Paragon shops are a bit snooty and not very helpful. Please share more locations if you are similarly into Hifi. This thread is not for Home Theatre (that's another topic for another day). Cheers
  8. If you happen to be planning a trip to Bangkok this month, I suggest you give this residence a look. The deal for October is fantastic. Slashed prices for a creme d' la creme accommodation. http://www.tenfacebangkok.com/about.php Reservation and room rates: October deals
  9. By now, I have become a regular at Dream Hotel. Have stayed there consecutively on my last 3 trips. Befriended the floor manager - it has advantages, as now I get a upgraded room on my bookings. The staff is extremely friendly. The rooms very accommodating. I like the quiet and private feel of the hotel. The caliber of guests is also classy. They have no joiner fee - bring one or bring a whole truck full. If you need assistance, just call 'Giant' and he shall arrange for anything you want. Taxis are readily available. BTS is short walk away. Food is not that great and expensive. The girls love this hotel. You can't beat that!
