Just some basic info on landing in Bangkok.

I booked 12 nights at the Furama Xclusive thru Expedia it was part of a package including two flights on Qatar Airways from JFK to BKK with a connection at DOHA for $1300 so the hotel was probably a bit over $500 for 12 nights. Free late check-in. I checked in at 9 PM, after landing at 7 PM. The Furama Xclusive is an 11 story hotel that is very centralized in the Asoke area of Bangkok. Its walking distance (2min walk) to an MRT station aswell as the Asoke BTS station. Walking distance (4min walk) to Terminal 21 or Soi Cowboy, (15 min walk) to NANA plaza. There is a hotel restaurant that is open 24hrs. The hotel has several Japanese restaurants right under it and across the street. ATMs at two 7-11s or a short walk to CITIBANK at the BTS station. The hotel has a small parking lot for guests, so if someone is picking you up or coming over they have a parking spot. On the roof, they have a small but adequate pool and jacuzzi. They also have a gym with decent gym equipment and a great sauna. The sauna was one of the main things I considered when booking. As for the room, it was very spacious and clean. Furniture seems pretty modern, huge King sized bed and good lighting in the room. The lighting had different zones so you can get the room dark but still have some lights on. Huge closet with robes and slippers aswell as a safe for the important stuff. The AC was on point, I had to turn it off several times because it would get too cold. The bathroom had a large tub and standing shower and very clean. Hotel policy; Do not run over flower pots, it will cost you 1000 bhat if you do. They do not require girls to give up their ID on entrance. Which I like, I'm all about energy and it seems to me demeaning to the girl to have to give up her ID. I get the whole its for my protection but I can protect myself. I can't help but think about how that most feel. Having to give up your ID with all your info to someone who might stand in judgment against you because they know what you are about to go do. I don't need that kind of energy around me. This is another consideration I made when booking. The staff is awesome. The cleaning ladies are so nice. They will even fold your shirt you left out when they clean. I asked for ice on my first night there when arriving with a date. And every time I arrived with a date without me asking for it, ice would be brought up a bit after we got to the room. I appreciated this. It was a great stay and I would 100% stay again. The food was good too and not too pricey. Next time tho I'm looking into booking an Airbnb because I want to go for 1 month. So that's my review.
