  1. Hotel reception. Tip them 2 twenties. If they don't have a copier, there are copy places around. Not sure where in Sukh. Look for a sign with the old Kodak logo. I know some will make a 2 sided scaled down to the size of a credit card for about 100 baht.

I also keep pictures of the ID page, the immigration stamp and the departure card on my phone.

Thank you. For the life of me I don’t know why I did not think of taking a photo on phone of stamp and departure card.
  2. My brother who is an expat living in Pattaya first moved to Thailand 10 years ago. His first two years he lived in Bangkok. When I told him this coming trip I was going to spend a few days in Bangkok before going down to Pattaya he told me to worry more about falangs who want to make friends with you than anything else. He also jokingly told me to be ready to dodge rats. I guess I will find out myself in a couple weeks.

  3. I started this thread 3 long months ago. Now I am only 3 weeks away from wheels up on the 26th and touchdown on the 28th. I’m hoping I will not bo sorry for not going straight to Pattaya this trip. It’s going to be my first time in Bangkok and I am excited to try a new experience. This last three weeks of waiting is probably going to feel as slow as the waiting the months to go by since doing my original post. Still waiting to decide whether to hit Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy first.

  4. I am thinking of booking this hotel for late January.  My flight arrives in the morning (7:00AM) and I would like to use the airport rail link to the BTS.  I am not worried about the distance of the walk from Nana BTS to the hotel, but I am concerned about safely walking to the Dawin with luggage in tow.  How safe is this walk? I mean safe in terms of not getting hit by a bus walking down Soi 4?
