  1. Nope !!! As it is now "private property" and will need to show room keycard to go through. Last night, after a drinking night at Hillary 1, my TG was trying to sweet talk the guard to let us through but I guessed he valued his job too much as a polite NO was given to us. And from the Soi 2 side, it was even worse as the guard is inside the lock gate (tall and impossible to go through w/o being open by the guard). So there you have it, but actually the walk around is not that bad. I time myself from my condo (next to the DoubleTree) to NEP took me 6 minutes. So with the alley probably saves only a couple minutes, no big deal.
  2. 2am ? All clubs in Bangkok now open until at least 3:30am. For the last couple weeks, I've been at Sugar Club (soi 11) until 4am, Bobo until 4am, Penny Black until 3:30am, Space Disco on RCA until 4am and the Club at Khao San Rd. until almost 5am (and it's still going strong when I left). So yeah, many clubs and discos are open way past 2am.
  3. Thank you ! my condo is across from this alley, so great news indeed !!!!
  4. You can walk through the Marriott? I will stay at a condo right across from the Rajah Alley so this would be helpful.
  5. Thanks for the review. How is it wifi ? I need good wifi for work and read some reviews of its slow or spotty wifi. Is this your experience too ?
  6. Wow, this is truly the worst. Can't imagine not being able to freely going in and out of a place that you have to pay for ! My current Airbnb in Bangkok uses a fingerprint system, and mine was entered into their system so it was alright. But as it still needs an ID card to use the elevator, so it feels like an extra without true benefit yet.
  7. Answer my own question : yes, it is very guest friendly, as not a question asked whatsoever when bringing a "guest" back. And it has the best system for food & grocery delivery as they have a table right next to the lobby door reserved for delivery, so the items can be placed there for you to come to pick up at anytime. There is no need for the delivery guys to hang around to look or wait for you. Just brilliant !
  8. Yes maybe they have changed the policy. I am staying at Dream 1 now and last night they took the girl ID again. This is a first thought as he called me from the front desk when she left to make sure it's ok to let her go. I don't mind either way, as the girls seem to be used to all this. The night before when the girl at front desk asked me to sign the waiver, she said it is for my protection. But the waiver was for me to be responsible of any loss or damages caused by the unregistered guest. So is it for my protection or for theirs one has to wonder 🤔
  9. Hmm... I Stayed here 2 months ago for 10 nights and just checked in yesterday. They asked me for the girls Id everytime. Tonight, brought back a gogogirl from Nana, she did not bring her id with her so they make me signed a waiver. I guess YMMV.
  10. Yes girl friendly, they will ask for the girl's id. I like its location, walkable to both NEP and soi cowboy. Also, 3 minutes walk to Thermae, yup, I timed myself 555...
  11. Yes, very gf. I just walk the girl straight to the elevator, nobody says a word. The reception counter is kind of out of the walkway, so it was an easy walk.
  12. Sorry for bringing back an old topic, but I am looking to rent a condo here for a couple months in the new year and want to make sure that there will not be any issues bringing girls back to the condo. Anybody has any experiences ? Thanks.
  13. Not in Bkk., but last June I visited Dr. Warporn Klanwarin in Pattaya International Hospital and it was a good experience. Same day service and excellent results.
  14. Thanks for the review. I am currently looking at this hotel too due to its location. It is between this hotel and the Adelphi Suites on soi 8 right now for me as they are almost the same price.
  15. Pattaya Hilton 50,000 points / night vs. Bangkok Doubletree 20,000 points / night. I am not sure if it is better use of points as you can book Hilton Pattaya at around $180 and for Bangkok Doubletree at around $95. For me, Hilton is way overprice for Pattaya, as you can book a few fabulous places in Pattaya for less than $100 a night. I'm going to book at Doubletree for 5 nights, and it will only cost 80,000 points with the book 5 gets 1 free night. Bring the actual cost to only 16,000 points per night, not too shabby for a very good Bangkok hotel.
