Koh samui is quiet expensive , but a very pretty island , Beaches are on a completely different level than say Pattaya for example . And I guess that is why they charge more , they know the beach loving crowd will keep going regardless .

Patong is where the main nightlife is , I'm here now , you can have a great time here , but it's fair to say it's the most expensive place in Thailand
