Anyone tried the new train/subway from the airport? What's your take -- worth it or better to stick with a taxi?

I was trying to decide where to stay and came across the Furama Sukhumvit on Soi 1. Only about $50 with breakfast for what looks like a 4-star. Anyone tried it?
