  1. Hi, My girlfriend is looking to sell her house in Bangkok and she must think I'm as smart as I tell her I am (bless her) so wants my input on the process. Being a good boyfriend I want to make sure I'm advisng her after doing some proper research. However, looking around all of the available resourses in English are geared towards foreigners and so dont really give a great story for a regular middle class Thai selling their home. For example, most agents show inflated prices or only places in certain areas that they feel foreigners would want. I feel my girlfriends 3 bed in the Suan Luang area(Pattanakarn)would have much more appeal to middle class Thais than foreigners so would like to see how it compares with whats popular for that demographic. Anybody have some good links to estate agents, thai property rules or general websites for selling homes that could prove useful would be much appreciated? Or even better anyone want to buy a 3 bed housed in a gated village for 8 million baht woud be even better ;) Cheers
  2. Taxi's are dead cheap so if you find the walkinga bit hard going due to heat and crowding just jump in a taxi.
  3. Agree with the above post. Not so much day of the week but much more likely to be less busy on Special days. Especially days when you cannot buy alcohol, haha.
  4. Emporium and Paragon are definitely the upmarket malls in BKK. Anything else and just be aware that it may not be real. But these days you can tell legit stores to the ones that are not. But hey if you are looking for fake stuff then you can easily fin that too. BKK has everything you need. Just try to avoid the hoards of screaming kids outside the malls in the afternoon. While I was in BKK it was like everyday a new pop sensation or show was going on that drew every teen girl in thailand to the malls.
  5. I try to avoid hospitals, doctors and the like as I just tend to feel uncomfortable in those types of places but what I can say is that Bumrungrad is the best hospital I have been too. Like everywhere in Asia they seem to have way too many staff overlapping on the same things. However, it was effcient, clean and welcoming. Also for the assistance I got the price was great too. I heard good things before I went there and I wasn't let down.
  6. The Irish pub on Soi 4 that shows the sports has an amazing breakfast/mixed grill. Maybe its the Dubliner everyone is talking about. Either way its half way down Soi 4 and the staff are friendly too.
