  1. Majestic Grand and Majestic Suites are two different hotels. Majestic Grand is directly across the street from Annies on Soi 2. Follow up! I was disappointed in Majestic Grand this time. -The canceled my reservation even though I stayed there 4 times in the last 2 years. It was through booking.com but they never informed me the reservation was canceled when I arrived I had to rebook at a cost of $200 more total. -The wifi was either choppy or off entirely for the full 2 weeks. Not one day did I have uninterrupted service. -The fact the easy access to Soi 4 was closed was a major bummer, it should be mentioned somewhere...you have to walk 2 blocks further to even go to the 7/11. Not the end of the world but def not convenient when you are paying a premium for location
  2. Dont stay until they reopen the Annies Soapy passage. Part of the upside of this hotel is you are a very short walk from the action and the 7-11 on the corner...they are doing some construction now and you have to walk up to Sukhumvit and down Soi 4...not a killer but a pain in the ass.
  3. Those sound perfect! Im a drinking man, I just wanted to make sure after 10 I would be able to go out for a few drinks! Sky Bar and Jack's Bar sound like two I would visit.
  4. Awesome advice guys...ill look into both. Any local bars nearby?
  5. One thing I would add is for dessert go to "After you" Best dessert Ive had in the world.
  6. I usually stay right near Nana plaza but I wanted to change it up a bit. I usually stay pay about $75 a night and would like keep that at my max. Is there another area in Bangkok anyone stayed that really liked it? It Doesn't need to be near the "action" but it would be nice if it was on the BTS route. I enjoyed Chinatown last time I was there so that would be an option...I just feel BKK has so much to offer I would like to see some other parts of the city. Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Personally, I prefer the majestic grand. I know it is a little pricier than most hotels in Bangkok but I usually get if for around $75/night and it is as nice as a Marriott or Hilton in the US. Last visit I did stay around the corner at a hotel above a clothing store which cost about $30 but for me it wasnt worth it. If I am on holiday I want to feel Im on holiday.
  8. Majestic Grande is the only hotel I have stayed at in Bangkok....They have no joiner fee and are right across the street from Annies. It is also about a 10 minute walk to Lolitas and 5 minutes from Nana Plaza. It is also very close to the BTS so it gives you access to the whole city. The affordability is just icing on the cake expect about $60/night. The hotel is clean and customer service it out of this world. I never tried any other hotels because I had such a great time at the Majestic Grande. Ive never eaten there but there are so many good food carts in the area it seems a waste to eat a $20 lunch when I can get a liter of Chang and a nice plate of food fore 100-200 Baht There is also a mall with a bank at the end of the street if you need to use and ATM (I would only trust ATMs at a bank in Thailand)
