  1. Soi 31 is full of good Japanese restaurants. There was a restaurant called HAMACHI but could not find it now On Googlemap for this Soi and there is Japanese BBQ retaurant appearing at its place. Hotel Avani Atrium also has a good Japanese restaurant with a formal setup.
  2. Amritsr is on SOI 11 and not on SOI 22. Maya (Holiday Inn, soi 22) and Punjab Grills (Radisson suites Soi 13 Just behind soi 11) are my favourites. You can also get Kingfisher strong beer at Punjab Grills which compliments Indian food very well. Also there is a relatively small retaurant called Bawarchi just on right hand side when you enter SOI 11 from nana bts side. This is very good for Indian snacks and main course. 😋☺
  3. Hi MidnightM, budget is not an issue here. Simply it is to know which of the top 3 guesthouses are preferred by pattaya veterans like you love and positive points about those. Thanks
  4. It is so sad to know this news. This hotel though very old always had a hill-top wooden cabin vibes. I booked it once but had to cancel due to some reason. Now, it is gone for ever.
  5. After looking at the current information available in this forum regarding Pattaya hotels and aftermaths of CV-19 where some hotels and gueathouses are closed permanently, i thought of starting a new topic about guesthouses with ladies at Pattaya to collect latest information about cost effective options near the main action areas. In general, all guesthouses in pattaya have bars and ladies, but if we have to choose top 3, which one those will be ? 😋🤓
  6. Thanks everyone for suggestions. I hope that i will be able to explore most of the places in next trip. I agree with Christian on the point of exploring other amazing places away from general busy touristy areas as suggested by other members also. 9. I have taken lunch at small Thai restaurants or general eating places and love other unique ways. They keep lots of spoons and forks in a glass on the dining table. Water-mug, ice cubes, straws are provides separately and you have to mix it by yourself. This is very unique in Thailand. [emoji106][emoji16][emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Mostly, the fast food served in Thailand at various outlets is fresh and tastier than it is in west. For e.g. McD and KFC both serve fried chicken in Thailand, but chicken is juicy and soft just below the crispy outer surface which i miss in western locations. If the cooking process is very much standard, only difference could be of raw material and fresh preparations. [emoji490][emoji488][emoji489] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have been eating at various south east asian restaurants and faced many people staring at me for asking a fork and spoon. But i never mind and continue the way i am comfortable with. My Japanese friend can even pick single rice grain with his chopsticks. But now i am seriously inspired to use the chopsticks. [emoji482][emoji106][emoji481] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. During my last bkk visit, i met a thai office girl. There is definitely a connect between us and we like to chat on Line for hours now. I want to invite her for a dinner date as soon as the situation improves at bkk. Please suggest the suitable places for having a dinner date around Sukhumvit area. She likes both thai, Japanese food and is a wine lover. [emoji482][emoji481][emoji1635] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I tried to book Dawin but it was fully occupied in Jan 2020. It is guest friendly as confirmed by the hotel management. Hopefully i would be able to get here during next trip after cv19 is over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Again had a nice dinner with one of the cute lady from TF in Feb. She was Thai-Jap mix and found it very good. Service is rocking and i loved their sitting arrangements i.e. private cabin or in straight line. We tried smoked salmon, tempura and some sushi selected specially by her. Loved the Asahi beer super chilled and dry. [emoji481][emoji3577] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Many people recommend the condos on soi 22 on the opposite side to Sukhumvit as a good place for foreigners due to its vicinity to all areas popular among foreigners. There are some good parks for jogging also. [emoji3577][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I will try it next time. I saw it from the window view of my last stay at Holiday Inn. [emoji482] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I always divide my stay at bangkok by booking two different hotels: One near to NEP : second near Cowboy ! Well it works for me. In the morning to afternoon time, I checkout and checkin to kill time as there is generally not much to do in that time and it is very convenient as most hotels offer drop to the nearby places through tuk tuk which is also a fun. 24. Just wanted to check about the health advisory about Chinese flu virus case reported at bkk airport... Any update ? Sent from my SM-T231 using Tapatalk
  25. I will try this during the coming trip in feb Sent from my SM-T231 using Tapatalk
