  1. Hi All, I'm hoping for a little input...has anyone brought 6 mos+ supply of a prescription drug into the U.S. from Thailand? I'm on a $600/mos drug for diabetes, which is $45/mos in Thailand. I'd like to bring a 12 mos supply back and have a U.S. prescription. I'd prefer to declare it with CBP, and have transits thru Bali and Taipei. Customs website says don't bring back more than 3 mos supply, but wonder if that's really enforced? I could upgrade my insurance to cover it, but we're talking $2k+ difference all told. Thanks for any info from related experience!
  2. Looks like the Thai police have their pockets open and ready to receive cash from the incoming flood of Chinese tourists. Only 7000 baht. Wonder if they'd drop you off right at the go-go bar? https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2488089/police-charged-thousands-for-vvip-motorcade
  3. Is Air Canada any good? Never flown them. Like the sound of non-stop from N America. Air Canada Inaugurates Only Direct Flight Between North America And Bangkok https://simpleflying.com/air-canada-inaugurates-only-flight-north-america-bangkok/ Air Canada has launched the first direct non-stop flight between North America and Thailand in over 10 years. The route will be operated through Spring 2023. It will be flown four times per week, offering North American travelers a more convenient travel option to visit Thailand. The route will be operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The ultra-long-haul route begins at Canada's Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and ends at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Thailand. The flight will be operated four times per week, with one flight departing YVR every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The journey will take an estimated 16 hours. The service is a seasonal offering and is scheduled to terminate in April. Depending on the routes' success, it may be reinstated next winter. The inaugural flight, Air Canada flight AC65, launched at 23:00 PT from YVR yesterday, December 1st. The flight is scheduled to land at BKK at 05:55 ICT on Saturday, December 3rd. The airline has shared its excitement for this new route, with Senior Vice President of Network Planning and Revenue Management at Air Canada, Mark Galardo, stating, "We are extremely pleased to be launching our first non-stop service to Southeast Asia this winter, the only one between North America and Thailand." Route history Thailand is one of the most visited countries in the world. The country offers countless opportunities for tourists. It has plenty of activities for adventure seekers while offering plenty of leisure options for travelers looking to relax. Travelers around the globe highly regard this beautiful land as one of the best vacation destinations. However, this paradise is rather far from North America and Europe, requiring visitors to spend hours on a plane or planes before arriving. For the past ten years, there has been no direct connection between the Asian country and North America. The last time a regularly scheduled direct non-stop route was offered connecting Thailand to North America was in 2012 when Thai Airways operated regularly scheduled non-stop flights between BKK and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Travelers looking to visit Thailand from the US for the past ten years have had to fly across the Pacific to other cities before connecting to another flight. Air Canada expects this new route to be very successful and sees high demand for leisure travel as it will now offer the most convenient option for travel between North America and this highly popular vacation destination. Thailand's economy was hit hard by the pandemic travel restrictions as it relies heavily on tourism. Since the county dropped its final COVID-19 entry restriction in October, it hopes to rapidly rebuild its tourism market amid the ongoing surge in air travel. In 2019 the country saw 39.8 million international arrivals. By the end of 2022, it expects to reach 10 million international arrivals. Next year, the country expects to see 80% of 2019 international arrival numbers. It hopes to reach pre-pandemic levels by 2024 and continue to grow its tourism industry over the coming decade.
  4. Talking heads warning we may be entering a perfect storm of strong dollar due to Federal Reserve rate raises, combined with weak euro, pound, and asian currencies, meanwhile possible global recession enticing stimulus packages at exactly the wrong time. The UK bond market has become unruly, the Euro is beneath $1 and the British pound seems headed there too. Be careful what you wish for (for those with $ reserves). There was an Asian financial crisis in '97 that I am sure some on this board recall. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-09-25/financial-crisis-redux-looms-in-asia-as-major-currencies-crack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_Asian_financial_crisis
  5. I'm being prescribed AndroGel in the U.S. for low T as my numbers are really low and I'm in my mid 50s. Doctor says I won't grow boobs nor have my balls shrink, but it will give me more energy in the gym and bedroom, build muscle. It's around $300 per mos in the U.S. though. Any feet on the ground info about Testerone gel in LOS? Cost? Are there generics that are cheaper? Thanks in advance.
  6. Man, I'm paranoid just bringing in a few supplements e.g. carb blockers or antioxidants, or bringing in some nuts or whey protein that might be labeled as 'food'. No way in the world I'd ever bring in anything remotely narcotic in nature, even with a prescription, unless absolutely (!) necessary and then only following official guidelines. Also to consider is what happens in transit...as you pass through security in Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore on your way to Thailand. The hassle and or jail time isn't worth risking, for me. 😇
  7. I think parents now are getting the vaccine for their boy and girl children. Here is what the maker says of the vaccine: GARDASIL®9 (Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant) helps protect individuals ages 9 to 45 against the following diseases caused by 9 types of HPV: cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers in females, anal cancer, certain head and neck cancers, such as throat and back of mouth cancers and genital warts in both males and females For me, I hope it gives me some protection since I play with bargirls and have been known to stick my tongue in a range of places on them and enjoy them doing the same. I worked with a guy that had throat cancer, never asked him what caused it but he didn't use tobacco. Tumor was size of a tennis ball and they could only take most out cause he would have had a hole in his esophagus if they took it all out. Then it was chemo chemo chemo. I'd like to avoid that shit. 😅
  8. Gardasil 9 stops 9 of the nastier strains of HPV, mainly the ones that cause cancer. Gardasil used to be considered only for adolescents, but now approved up through age 45. I got the vaccine at age 50, nothing magical happens at 45, they just haven't spent the money to study on those over 45....just as they hadn't spent the money on adults over 16 before but then studied those up through 45 with the vaccine. https://www.gardasil9.com/adults/
  9. Do NOT stay at the NaNa. I'd likely be down the hall and with all the screaming going on you for sure will not be 'enlightened'.
  10. Ahhh fuck, gotta move back from anilingus to cunnilingus? What's the world coming to. 😝
  11. I got the shot in my 50s. I've likely been exposed to some types already, but the shot protects against the others even if so. All three HPV vaccines protect against HPV types 16 and 18 that cause most HPV cancers. Since late 2016, only Gardasil-9 (9vHPV) is distributed in the United States. This vaccine protects against nine HPV types (6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58)
  12. I like how some BKK hotels check IDs and call after to make sure everything went OK.
