  1. 😬 Yeah... packaged sushi is almost always a HARD pass; the only exception is if you're sitting there watching them package it.
  2. Haha, Nana to Asok terminal is like a 5 minute walk. Not really a change of pace, but I get what you're implying. If you're going mid-tier, you're probably better of in the Nana area tbh. Near Cowboy there aren't a ton of higher quality mid-tiers that are recommendable. There are a few down Soi 10, and Soi 12, but you'll have to walk the length of the Sois (seems like you want to avoid walking much). S15 Is smack in the middle of the two BTS stations, and a decent place to stay.
  3. Hyde 11 is nice. I prefer Ahston Asoke, as it's just closer to everything (BTS, MRT, Benjakitti Park, Cowboy, Terminal 21).
  4. This was closed as far back as October of 22 when I stayed a few nights at Double Tree. Good to see it's opened, and it makes DT that much more attractive.
  5. Majestic Suites - When I first started coming to Bangkok I stayed here a few times to be close to Nana. Staff was awesome, the facilities are what you'd expect for the price point (budget). I haven't stayed there since 2018, but if you're purely wanting someplace close to Nana plaza, and the rest of Soi 4, I'd imagine it's a good choice. At this point there's no way it isn't due for renovation though (if it hasn't happened already).
  6. Double Tree on Soi 2 is worth a stay. Sometimes you can get the terrace suites for around $130USD, and at that price point they are one of the best bargains in the area.
  7. Received my visa. I put down 90 days, and was approved initially for the 60 with the understanding I will apply for the extension. So for anyone wondering, you can fill in 90 days and it'll be no issue.
  8. Majestic suites is PERFECTLY located, but it's sort of a dump. I stayed for trips in 2016-2019, but by 2019 the place was showing some serious signs of neglect, including bugs etc. It's a shame; the staff and location are top notch.
  9. Just went through this coming from the U.S. applying for a single entry. The form asks for your intended arrival and departure dates; mine were exactly 90 days (and my booked itinerary reflected this). It's still processing, so I'll let you know if it goes through or not. Should be any day now.
