  1. I am in Bangkok now and I cannot recall there being this many freelancers on TF. They are much less discreet than in 2021 and before. I have been meeting 2 a day for about 4 days and I cannot keep up. All are 18-22 years old. Maybe the peer pressure to have a nice phone with a nice camera for all their Social Media photos are contributing to this behavior.
  2. Some banks will allow with the lease only. However, some will want a lease and the visa showing they match up. You may want to consider trying a few of the banks, and just tell them you are in the middle of applying for a longer visa. Or just hire an agent.
  3. Yes, that resets it. No need to go in and out of airports, as long as you see immigration at the border crossing.
  4. Maybe different now after covid. I stayed at Dream II (where the pool is located) around August and they did not ask for ID. Could be case by case, but I really do not look at the staff when I bring the girls in. I avoid eye contact and I have never been stopped.
  5. I have stayed here over 10 times and only once with 40 girls have they asked her for the ID. The only time was when the girl walked over to the reception. Normally I just walk them up without stopping at the counter.
  6. I actually stayed there a few weeks ago for 2 nights. It is guest friendly. Just wait in the chairs near the elevator and when the girls walk in they will see you. If you are bringing them in you do not have to walk past the reception so you are ok to just bring them up. The Central Embassy is close by: 40 meter walk to stairs to BTS walkway and turn left then it is on the right. Many great food options.
  7. While I do not live in Bangkok, I live in Pattaya. But I was researching heavily when I was considering moving to Bangkok. What you describe near Asoke would be $1500+ per month. Unless you get a 2 bedroom that is very small.
  8. Ya, you have to watch the video and pay attention to the date and location. Then Google is your friend.
  9. Yes, I figured such. I could have said it more nicely but I was short on time and was not able to edit it properly. Cheers.
  10. I recommend you go to this guy's YouTube channel. That is all he does is go to car and bike events in Thailand. They are all over. Unsure what the prior BM is talking about. Here is the LINK
  11. You are using some wrong terminology. The correct term is Visa Exempt Entry. This is from the US Embassy site: Visa Exempt Entry U.S. citizens carrying a tourist passport and in possession of an onward or return airline ticket do not require a visa to enter Thailand. The passport must have at least six months validity remaining to be allowed entry. Upon entry, Thai immigration officials will place an immigration stamp in the passport permitting a 30-day stay in Thailand if arriving by air or land. This time limit may subsequently be extended for an additional 30 days by paying a 1,900 baht fee to the Thai Immigration Bureau office.
  12. Agree. I have t-mobile and use my internal sim for my USA number at $90 a month (3 lines). But I have a True Sim for my external SIM for my Thai number. I pay extra for great data service (600 baht a month?). I pre pay 10,000 baht at a time so I forget the exact amount.
  13. I have heard about it. it has only happened to me once in 25 more trips. I just had to sign a waiver not holding the airline responsible if I over stayed.
  14. You do not need a visa if you have a US Passport. You get 30 days Visa exemption upon arrival. If you do your side trip to Vietnam you will need a Visa for Vietnam. You do not need a Visa for Philippines.
  15. Many times. Girl Friendly, but I just walk the girls from BTS to the hotel back entrance, down escalator to elevator. Do not check them in.
  16. Your request is too vague without your country of origin. Each country has different rules.
  17. Ironically they sent this out in a text message. Then there was another announcement right after with different information. TIT
  18. Update from AQ guys.. THAILAND PASS SERVICE UPDATE Due to the current situation our team will stop accepting new cases for Thailand Pass services for the following destination / program combinations. • Test & Go: Phuket • Test & Go: Krabi • Test & Go: Phang-nga We are still accepting Test & Go cases for Bangkok, and Pattaya. We are also accepting all Sandbox, and AQ requests.
  19. I did mine in the USA, however i have been to Bumrungrad for other issues and they are clean and very professional. There are other, less expensive options out there but I would find a place with a good reputation.
  20. Yes, I have since returned and contacted T-Mobile in the USA and they programmed my main USA number into my e-Sim. Then when I arrived in Thailand I purchased a mobile plan with True., They installed the Sim and now I have two active phone numbers on my i-Phone 11. You will be able to do the same on a 12 for sure.
  21. I have T-Mobile as well. The reason you want to get the SIM card in Thailand is for data charges, not for phone charges. If you use your phone like I do, your extra data charges will be off the chart. I use the data for mapping and trip advisor to find restaurants or entertainment. It adds up quickly. Plus, like someone mentioned it goes down to 2G or 3G if you continue to use T-Mobile. What I have learned to do is to get a TRUE SIM card for the time I am in Thailand, then once a day I switch to my T-Mobile SIM to check an phone or text messages. There is a way to use your e-SIM and have both numbers live, yet I have yet to figure that out but will be trying to figure it out soon, as I am due to travel 17 April.
