  1. Just a caution about the bars here that sell the 100Baht cocktails. The ice used in them is not made from filtered water & I become rather unwell for days after a night drinking here. Just drink the bottled beer The cocktails back at the hotel was fine but of course they charge a lot more. However happy hour saw me plow through around 6 :) There was a young surly female bar tender who thought I was drinking far more than I should have and gave me the Land of Not Smiles treatment. Oh yeah :P
  2. I have to say I love staying on Soi 18 as its fairly quiet. Probably not suitable if you want to be right next to Nana, however its not far to Cowboy. This hotel has a complimentary tuk-tuk to take you to Sukhumvit road There are a few good eateries on Soi18 but lets be honest they are everywhere I have stayed at Maitria right opposite the Park Plaza Soi18, a really nice 4-star, girl friendly. I want to also try the Park Plaza
  3. I'll be keen to try it out assuming its GF. Stayed here around 5 years ago, really liked it. Walked past it in 2016 looking very solemn undergoing the upgrade. Does anyone remember when they had the Manchester United bar next to the entrance? It was latter renamed something else. Guess there weren't many ManU supporters around
  4. I stayed here back when I was a newbie. Would never consider this dump again. I can't believe people stay here when there are a multitude of classy new Hotels in the Sukhumvit area today. Okay they aren't as cheap or as accessible to NEP but for a 2-week vacationer a slightly higher priced hotel is well worth it to pamper your lady of the night Plus the hotel is full of mongers, who wants that!
  5. The location of this Hotel is perfect and a few years back quite popular for the Bangkok monger. However time has stood still for this Hotel and in the meantime there have been dozens of new Hotels spring up in the area pushing the Swiss Park off my list of Hotels to choose When I stayed around 5 years ago I was placed in a room that had a view of an apartment block (Trendy?) under construction right outside my window. This construction was halted for years and this ugly eye-sore of a monstrosity left sitting there incomplete blocking one side of the Swiss Parks entire view. It ruined the Swiss Park Hotel for me. If you do choose to stay here make sure you book a room on the other side of the Hotel looking towards the lower Sois. This view is rather pleasant
