I just heard a few days ago that they will stop taxing savings accounts in Thai banks. This should stimulate opening and funding savings accounts in Thailand, even if just a bit. Of course, there is no hope of longevity in anything sensible with laws there, so strike while you can if you are ready to open an account. Good luck.
