corner of soi 3! this restaurant is in one of the most disgusting locations possible. large drains that always stink and often that corner is flooded after rain and bags of garbage busted open with rats infesting them. you see them as you walk past to get to 7/11. tuk tuks on the corner reving engines spluttering exhaust. maybe the food tastes good but I wouldn't sit there and be able to enjoy and eat a meal. Now that 7seas is gone and soi 7 stalls are long gone, I really wish someone could find a good clean seafood place with reasonable prices. Ive often ended up at lovescene in soi 23 but their seafood menu is very limited and prices reflect the prime location

Please can you give a more accurate location, Soi 55 is a long soi and I couldn't find it.

The one time that I went there a couple of months ago, I spotted 3 girls from Soi Cowboy, 2 from Crazy House with 2 white guys and a girl from Baccara with an oriental guy, two separate groups though. I went to have breakfast with my friend who was staying there the next morning and the same Baccara girl was having breakfast with her companion.

The presentation and quality is consistently good, although the prices aren't very appealing, but the 5 times that Ive been there the food is consistently not hot enough. warm soup isn't as good as hot soup!!!

Chidlom / Ploenchit / Withayu road or Siam, all walking, taxi, BTS, mocy short distances. If budget isn't an issue don't bother with the cheaper expat areas because they're only cheaper because they're further away from the CBD. Best guidance will come from members that have lived here in BKK for awhile rather than tourists and itinerents. Soi Rumrudee has lots of decent places to rent and its easy to walk through the All Seasons complex onto Withayu (Wireless) Rd. which is where the US Embassy and many other large office buildings are situated.

they introduced a 500 thb joiner fee. bad value imo. unite DO NOT use hotels that charge joiner fees!

Tiny rooms! some windowless, above a talorshop, reception is tiny and often the local african thugs sit in drinking beer between selling drugs. I paid for one night (march 2010) and checked out after my st with a bg fl as there was a screaming match going on between 2 rooms full of our brothers from the dark continent.

Star Inn is a very small hotel,rooms are dark and a bit nasty, resteraunt is overpriced and not very good used mainly by the local freelancers. It is always noisy in soi 7/1 until early hours (4am)as its almost next to Bangkok Beat and other late night other loud music bars. Try a few at the far end of soi 8 much quieter and in your price range. (GF too) ie. check on website maps like agoda or res24.

fyi major demolition going on next door and noisy as hell from 6am -6pm+ looks like it will continue for months
