  1. In my research for a potential flight, it seems my best option is a flight that lands around 12:30am. Assuming I get through immigration and baggage claim by 1:30am, what suggestions do people have about where I can go for an 8-12 hour stay before checking into my main hotel? It appears the "on site hotels" are quite expensive and you have to go through immigration twice. Much thanks in advance.

  3. I wanted to get some feedback if thats ok by and admin. i am looking at renting 2-4 bedroom condo in the asoke area with the intention to airbnb the extra room(s). I have heard that its not really legal but talking with a couple of friends in the guesthouse industry it is possible if its not too in your face. the places im looking at have a relaxed policy on airbnb with a few already in the buildings and guests already coming and going. the questions i have are would you be willing to use an airbnb shared setup with a private room and private bathroom with use of the kitchen and living room tv internet....? what would be an amount you would be willing to pay per night? within a 5 min walk to soi cowboy modern condo with pool and guest friendly. non smoking unless outdoor thanks for your feedback and suggestions and comments. have a good one.

  7. I'm planning on taking my first trip to BKK and l was wondering if anyone has stayed at Apartments Siamese Gioia. The information/pictures on Agoda seem to support that it's a good place to stay and the overall reviews on Agoda & Google and Trip Advisor support this. I was just wanting to know from people who have traveled to BKK before how it stacks up in terms of price, location and if you have stayed there what was your experience like? Thanks in advance for any advice, thoughts, stories or experiences.
  8. Hello everybody, I`m looking for a big/nice gym in Bangkok where I can pay per visit or hour. I`m staying here for 2,5 weeks and have a gym in hotel, but it`s crazily small and I`m a powerlifter. My hotel is located close to the BTS, so everything in the range of BTS is very ok. Due to a work I can only train on fridays and a weekends. Any advice? cheers
  9. In 1992 I went to Bangkok as a normal photo taking tourist and did not join in the night-life. I am planning to return and this time I want the action of Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, etc. so i will want to stay near but will be on a limited budget. Therefore i am seeking advice and recommendations for hotels in these areas that are in the 500/1000b range. I only need a small room with AC, TV, warm shower, wifi, in-room safe box, and security from theft. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
  10. Furama Xclusive Asoke, Bangkok 133/2 Soi Sukhumvit 21, Khwaeng Khlong Toei Nuea, Khet Watthana, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand furamaxclusive.com +66 2 677 8484 Furama Xclusive in the Asoke area of Bangkok. I booked 12 nights at the Furama Xclusive thru Expedia it was part of a package including two flights on Qatar Airways from JFK to BKK with a connection at DOHA for $1300 so the hotel was probably a bit over $500 for 12 nights. Free late check-in. I checked in at 9 PM, after landing at 7 PM. The Furama Xclusive is an 11 story hotel that is very centralized in the Asoke area of Bangkok. Its walking distance (2min walk) to an MRT station aswell as the Asoke BTS station. Walking distance (4min walk) to Terminal 21 or Soi Cowboy, (15 min walk) to NANA plaza. There is a hotel restaurant that is open 24hrs. The hotel has several Japanese restaurants right under it and across the street. ATMs at two 7-11s or a short walk to CITIBANK at the BTS station. The hotel has a small parking lot for guests, so if someone is picking you up or coming over they have a parking spot. On the roof, they have a small but adequate pool and jacuzzi. They also have a gym with decent gym equipment and a great sauna. The sauna was one of the main things I considered when booking. As for the room, it was very spacious and clean. Furniture seems pretty modern, huge King sized bed and good lighting in the room. The lighting had different zones so you can get the room dark but still have some lights on. Huge closet with robes and slippers aswell as a safe for the important stuff. The AC was on point, I had to turn it off several times because it would get too cold. The bathroom had a large tub and standing shower and very clean. Hotel policy; Do not run over flower pots, it will cost you 1000 bhat if you do. They do not require girls to give up their ID on entrance. Which I like, I'm all about energy and it seems to me demeaning to the girl to have to give up her ID. I get the whole its for my protection but I can protect myself. I can't help but think about how that most feel. Having to give up your ID with all your info to someone who might stand in judgment against you because they know what you are about to go do. I don't need that kind of energy around me. This is another consideration I made when booking. The staff is awesome. The cleaning ladies are so nice. They will even fold your shirt you left out when they clean. I asked for ice on my first night there when arriving with a date. And every time I arrived with a date without me asking for it, ice would be brought up a bit after we got to the room. I appreciated this. It was a great stay and I would 100% stay again. The food was good too and not too pricey. Next time tho I'm looking into booking an Airbnb because I want to go for 1 month. So that's my review.
