dannyth
Yes I too love that place an walked past it yesterday and closed up and shuttered - just like the Dynasty Inn and the hotel opposite too. Sad state of affairs really
otapiri
Dynasty Grande is still stuttered up and on the recently built big tin fence across the frontage is a big new sign. HOTEL FOR LEASE. Sad, was a great place
kevin gilmour
That is sad news, Dynasty Grande was always my favourite hotel in Bangkok, but surely whoever takes it over will keep it as a hotel?
otapiri
Update. Dynasty Grande is still closed. The hotel for rent sign has changed to Restaurant and Bar for lease Dynasty Inn on soi 4, closed, now has a sign out front, Hotel for Lease..
InJet
Quote Dynasty Inn on soi 4, closed, now has a sign out front, Hotel for Lease.. What a mess, was my first Bkk hotel in winter 2005. I loved to sit on the patio there and look the GoGo girls walking to NEP starting their work. 75 steps to NEP entrance.
malibu51
The Dynasty Inn was the most convenient hotel to the action and transportation on Soi 4. They had clean, inexpensive rooms, that were quiet and had just enough of the conveniences to make it worthwhile. Also, it had a back entrance for the new section, making privacy easy. The restaurant was inexpensive and had a great breakfast menu. They had a good deal on transport to the Dynasty in on Soi 13 in Pattaya if you booked it through them. My first memories of Bangkok and Pattaya are at the Dynasty Inn. I pray that it will be bought out by someone that wants to maintain it as a hotel and it's traditions and business practices.
