Cosmetic surgery

Has anyone had any experience with cosmetic surgery in Bangkok? The lady friend has started asking questions about getting some work done to her nose, not a major re-working but just a bit of shaping.

Any recommendations on hospital/doctor or idea of prices. I've heard a wide range range of prices varying from only 10,000 baht to almost 100,000. I've trod to do some research but most of the information on the Internet seems to be aimed at western medical tourists whereas this would be for a thai local.

I know a number of girls who have gotten nose jobs and the prices really do vary to the extent you've heard. A girl I know got one for a purported 100k and was not thrilled as she has a small nick that remained on the left side that looks slightly darker. A waste as her nose was perfectly fine before the operation. She should have opted for a boob job.

One of my Thai staff paid about 12000 for a nose job at a small clinic and is happy with the results.

After a nose job when acne appears it seems to remain for quite some time and looks unsightly.

There are literally hundreds of places if not thousands offering cosmetic surgery. Often hospital surgeons run clinics on the side and rent out rooms as needed to perform operations on their off time. Walk into a few clinics and consult with a few doctors and see who she likes. You'll get a good idea just from the consultation. And remember, this is Thailand you can always ask for a discount.

Thanks for that. That was my thought, have a number of consultations and see how they stack up and which feels the best. I'd lean towards a hospital based clinic rather than a separate clinic, just for piece of mind. I'll see what she does.

I’m currently looking for surgeon for my Rhinoplasty surgery too. Checking the top names like Dr. Poomee of Bumringrad Hospital, Dr. Pichet of Bangkok Plastic Surgery, Dr. Suporn of Suporn Clinic, Dr. Chettawut of Chet Plastic Surgery with good reviews online. I think it’s better contacting directly to the hospital/clinic if you have time. The cost for Rhinoplasty I’m looking is around USD 2,500-3,000 with full treatment package. It should get the complete work done neat and those surgeons I’m checking have certified surgical skills with the high standard medical service and hospitality.
