Hot Star XXL fried chicken Emquartier

Tried out Hot Star XXL fried chicken in the Emquartier food court. This is a Taiwanese chain that is recognized as one of the countries top 10 national foods. I was the 3rd person in line right at opening time, after I got my ticket the line exploded into a 2 hour wait!. Its a butterflied chicken breast with seasoning, the batter was crisp and the chicken was moist.

They were rammed out for the first month or two, and then almost nothing. It was like they had an amazing social media campaign, but once everyone had bought it, instagrammed it and posted selfie, they were done.

 

Since Emquartier revamped their food area I can't even remember seeing them anymore.
