kevin gilmour Posted August 16, 2016 Share Posted August 16, 2016 I'm getting a bit confused, I've stayed at President Palace on Soi 11 in the past, great hotel. However, when I was last there I was told it would be closed for a year for refurbishment. When I search on it now though, I can see recent comments on tripadvisor, but my search shows it as the Mercure hotel. Has it reopened but under a new name does anyone know? MidniteM Posted August 16, 2016 Share Posted August 16, 2016 Yes, it is now the Mercure. I actually walked past there a few hours ago and noticed the Mercure - it has a distinctive front. Walked past it in 2016 looking very solemn undergoing the upgrade. Does anyone remember when they had the Manchester United bar next to the entrance? It was latter renamed something else.
