To date that was the most expensive meal I ever had anywhere. Considering that other top food choices in Bangkok will cost you 10% of this one, that was my first and last meal there.

 

Business wise it was a good choice for establishing a solid connection.

That is Crazy, I have eaten at most of the place's at the Mandarin (which are always top notch),and they have never come close to that.

Went for a beer and pictures my last trip. $680 baht for a beer. Great view and pictures so I don't need to go back. Knew going in that it would be expensive thats why 1 drink and out.

I prefer Vertigo over both Red Sky and Sky bar.

 

The food we had at Red Sky was only so-so.  They could not cook a steak to medium-rare as one person in our groups sent theirs back for another try.

For that price you could have had a Michelin experience at l'Atelier Robuchon.

the view at Radisson Blu  roof top brew pub is just as good and beer is better at a fraction..

I was at skybar 2 years back. It is basically for experience rather than for drinks and food. Same beer and food will be expensive with a unique experience. Me and my friend took one crona beer each and bill was wooping 1500 Bahts. We took the beer and walked from one area to other area. Both options like sitting inside aircon area or sitting in open air are available. People with vertigo may feel little nervous here. But it is good to experience as at that time, it was tallest building in bangkok along Baiyoke.

I have been to Brewski, IMHO the views are different to Sky Bar and a totally different vibe. Sukhumvit and Silom are vastly different skylines...and neither is cheap!
